Hello everyone, hope you are all well. My Fiance and I made a visit to our Wedding Venue today. Was beautiful. Felt magical and and I even had a couple of tears (emotional mare me!). I am getting married for the 2nd time in my life. First wedding was not a dream wedding at all, in the reg office and out, not romantic at all an (to be fair I have more fun at gregs the bakers )and my ex husband turned out to be a real nasty piece of work, 8 years of domestic violence, we had a child together who is now 9 and is amazing. My fiance James is my rock, my best friend and love me for me, I have never been so happy. We had a beautiful Daughter 5 months ago and I am feeling blessed. We are getting Married on the 22nd August 2015 at Old Down Manor in Tockington nr Bristol. \ I am enjoying all the planning and love buying little things as we go along. Would love to hear from anyone with any ideas to try and keep costs down, or if you have or are planning your wedding.

Congrats! Sounds like you are very excited. In terms of keeping the cost down, how are you at DIY? if you can make things you will save a fair amount! Plus the ladies on here are always very helpful and have amazing ideas!

Congratulations. I'm so glad you've escaped the horror of domestic violence at last, I have a friend who suffered it so I've seen the destruction that it can do close hand. You might find that your nine year old will be able to help with making things.

Hey! We am getting married on the 2nd of August 2015 so not long befor u :). We are needing to keep the costs down too, we are making our own invites, we are getting our cake from a marks and spencer and decorating it our selves. The favors can be cheaper by bulk buying the sweets to go inside. There is a lot of ways u can keep the cost down just ask in hear every one will give very good advice I'm sure. X
