I'm quite an anxious person and worrying is what I am good at :(
had a little while where no RSVP's have come back through the post!
so far we have 53 confirmed for all day and 73 (an extra 20) for the evening do!
Our reception is at a hotel and they have said 50 for wedding breakfast and 100 for evening do... but can play round with the numbers a little!
I'm really worrying that not enough people are coming and that who is coming wont have a good time!
Does anyone else feel like this? or is it just me being an idiot?!
    xx

    Hi Vic
I too am a worrier so know how you feel. I just can't help it! We sent our invites out last week and no-one has mentioned it at all ...... no texts to say they've been received from friends - not even a fb message from my bridesmaids?! ......I thought people would be excited - or at least impressed as we designed n made our own and they're quite unique. But nothing! I am worried no-one wants to go......so I understand how you feel xxx

I think it's awful noone has said anything, I felt the same when my save the dates went out, I expected people to get excited, but noone said anything (except someone asking whether her boyfriend will be getting an invite as well)

I wouldn't worry MrsFarrelly, I'm sure people do really want to go they just don't think. I'm pretty sure when I got my friends invite for her wedding I either messaged her or I think I possibly even put a facebook status about it.

I'm also a worrier, but I don't think either of you need to worry, people will come and they will have a fab time, more importantly you will have an amazing day ;)

    Cheers Donna.
We've made a wedding website with all directions, info, and links to our honeymoon registry .....no-one has commented on it either. Part of me wonders if they've actually been received! But then I can't ask " have you got the invite?" Lol
My h2b says it's ok as long as we're there - but it's important to me that friends n family are there too
If there's something to worry about I'll find it!

Im not worried about the day guests....in fact I am hoping certain people say they cant come so I can invite other people instead as we have limited numbers, I know that sounds awful!

I am more worried about the evening reception as I dont want it to be 'dead' and lacking in atmosphere, so I am just hoping we have enough people to fill the venue!!!

    Try not to worry.

When we sent our invites we found that there were not too many that responded quickly and it wasn't until a few weeks before our RSVP deadline that the main bulk of our RSVP's were received.

We had around 25 people say they couldn't come (this was mainly evening guests) and we invited 160 so I'd say that you do need to understand that not everyone may be able to make it. Having said that timing is obviously key, for us we get married on a Bank Holiday weekend at the start of a school half term (I work in a school!) so fully expected that some may be going away/already have plans.

mrsfarrelly....we done exactly the same, hand made invites, got a website with directions etc n no one has said a word! its such a horrible feeling and it just keeps niggling away! :(
h2b says it saves us money if they don't come haha he doesn't understand why it making me anxious! i'm glad its not just me that feels like this....its starting to make me feel a bit crazy!! :'(
I work in a hospital so there is a lot of staff I invited, but I think quite a few are put off cuz I didn't give them a +1 but to be honest I don't think they hotel would notice..i don't think they would go round counting everyone?!
my sister says if they mean anything to me they would be there, if they don't then it doesn't matter, and its not the amount of people who are there that make it a good time! (she hasn't even sent her rsvp back yet though ha ) we have 45 mins worth of traditional greek songs to try and get everyone up dancing...h2b is from corfu so had to have greek dancing in it somewhere...
I think this anxiousness/worry is the worst part of wedding planning!
    xx

I'm so worried too, as we get married on a Tuesday and think it's an inconvenient day of the week for many people

We're getting married the Sunday after bank hol weekend so people will need the Monday off - at least my family as they'll be coming over 300 miles. Plus they'll have to travel on the Sat so it's 2 nights away for them. I know people say if they're important they'll come - but if they don't that's gonna make you feel very unloved :-(
I wish we'd just gone to Vegas then had a party ! X

yeh I feel like a billy no mates haha.
I said to h2b other day we should of gone to corfu and get married where he grew up and saved some money!
I think we will be that wrapped up in ourselves we wont notice how many other people are there or who is there.... in the nicest possible way so I don't notice no one there! haha
    xxx
