I don't know if this a silly question or not....if I haven't invited particular people to the church but have to the reception would you invite them on your hen do? Just wondered as my sister is sorting mine out and asked me who I'd like to have there :-/

For me, it would depend on several factors.
How much is your hen do costing? If it's only a night round town, fair dos, but if it's going to require a larger outlay for the hens (and it can get expensive if you are having nights away, cocktail making classes, fancy dress costumes, activities etc) they might be wondering what they did wrong not to be invited to the main event.
Personally, if I'd forked out a couple of hundred quid to go to a hen do and then wasn't invited to the wedding, I'd be a bit miffed, unless I knew they were only having a small ceremony and I was only invited to the evening before I had committed to go.
I think it can be done, but you would need to make your hens aware that they are only invited to the evening before they agree - unless, as I said, it's something quite inexpensive.

I agree with Laura's comment, it does depend on money and what you're expecting to do really x

I can only have 34 guests to the day do so a lot of my friends and drinking buddies won't be coming to the day do - I hope that doesn't put them off coming on the hen night!
Thank you for your comments...I'll have a think lol got a while yet to think about it

I agree with Laura's comments if its an 'inexpensive hen' as in a meal drinks etc then i dont think people will mind that their not invited to the church. I am having a wkend away hen (where all the ladies are invited to the whole day) and then having a local one where im inviting anyone! xx

I have my first Hen Do tomorrow (cocktail making, buffet food, VIP area at a local bar) and have invited day and evening guests, however to my main Hen Do in Portugal it is only day guests.
