I think I must have spent the equivalent of 3 days straight looking for venues and still not finding anything. Went to see Canada lake and lodge but really wanted a venue with rooms, booked a viewing for st Marys golf resort Are there any other ideas out there?? Something in the region of £2000 for venue and food but also something really beautiful. Doesn't have to be big something intimate is what we're looking for?? Anyone else having a hard time finding the perfect venue???

My venue is the Mercure Holland House hotel on Newport Road in Cardiff. Great venue, but budget wise it would depend on the number of guests. I think it's about £65.50 a head. You could look at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, which since the new building is really beautiful. It wouldn't have accommodation though. I work there, so let me know if you're interested and I'll private message you with more details. If it wasn't for the fact that it's my work place I would have seriously considered it, but I didn't fancy having my reception somewhere where I go every day; it would have felt like going to work.

There's a tennis club in Bute park, I don't know if they do weddings.

Looking for somewhere ideally old fashioned, Big stone walls. Think we've found somewhere. St Marys golf club I think is perfect. :)
