We looked there... looks gorgeous! But expensive- we decided on elsewhere so we could get more for our money. The best time to go is in our winter.

My BIL2B went there for his honeymoon last year. They said that it was beautiful. They stayed in a cabin with a glass bottom so they could see the sea underneath them. xx

Oooh really. The person who suggested it to me said that it's cheaper than other honeymoon islands because it's closer to the UK. Grrr I was all excited. Might have to start begging all my friends who are getting married to join and win a honeymoon lol x

Does anyone know where they actually are. I've managed to find out that they're in the Indian Ocean and their record lowest temperature for June was 22C!! But nothing more than that x

Oooh ok I know where that is.
We're looking at saving our clubcard points towards airmiles and then spending them for the honeymoon flights and then we just need to book the hotel x

My h2b is a travel agent (back from oz next Wednesday) so if you want any advice, prices etc. I can send you his details. Prob not allowed to put travel agent company name on here but they specialise in tailored flights and hotels rather than 'package holidays' so they do quite a lot of honeymoons.
I've left ours in his capable hands and will be a complete surprise for me! x

If I went to the Maldives for honeymonn, it would be the shortest marrage in history as I think me and Deano would end up killing each other he he! I need to be busy and have lots to do rather than just me and him sat on our very own island! They look absolutely stunning though so if you are the type of person who likes to sunbathe and swim in the sea all day then you will absolutely love it. My best friend went for her honeymoon last year and thought it was heaven. There are loads of different islands there so its worth shoppng around. You might be able to get a good deal x

i was looking to go there for our honeymoon as that is really the only thing we will be paying for ( apart from small things like gifts and favours etc) but after reading some of the reviews for different places on the internet, it had kinda put me off!! everyone was saying that the place its self was beautiful but there is nothing to do, its not very clean and some of your drinks/food arent included even when you go all inclusive - and to buy food/drink its very expensive. Now i dont know about anyone else but if i have paid the extra money to go all inclusive, i dont wanna fork out more money when im over there to actually get my food.

Sorry bout the longish post lol

    x

coincidence - sky 3 have a programme on about the maldives right now! Just showed one that was £1300pp for 14 nights (3 star) and another that was £1599pp (5 star) but that was only for bed and breakfast....ouch!
