    i really dont no wether to put a r.s.v.p card in our invites or not. our invites r a little on the small side and dont want to add our numbers n addresses in them coz think it wud ruin the look of the invite. so was gunna put in r.s.v.ps but not sure how to word them, do you put your address on aswell as numbers, there is also a vegetarian option meal for people who dont eat meat so do i have a little tick box for that or a dietry requirments option? omg too much to think bout. really need to order thses invite thou. not long to go lol xx

    You don't have to have them, when my friends got married they just gave you an address to R.S.V.P to so we bought a card to send them. We were going to put R.S.V.P's in ours but we've seen wedding websites now and think they're a great idea just as you can get people to R.S.V.P on there so we're going to set one of those up then if people don't want to use that they can send their own R.S.V.P card to us.

    Jade, I used a simple html website to make my own wedding website. It's super easy to use and then I made an RSVP form using google docs. I'll send out the website address along with the site password so that everyone can just go on and RSVP there. It makes it super simple and save money of stamps...

    To RSVP to our wedding please go to 'blah blah blah.com' and reply by January

    Just stream lines the invites. And you can always add or change the wording of questions on your google doc response form which I like. Nothing is set in stone!

    I haven't sent anything out yet because we have some time..my fiancé is designing them in photoshop but yah. We will send out traditional paper invites but will have all RSVP/wedding communication through the website! It is just sooo much easier for me since most of my family is in America

    Ok that's helpful to know! I've set up a website also since we're having a wedding abroad and since I've designed passport/boarding pass invites, I was starting to wonder if they were necessary or if they were a waste of money! Personally, I really like the idea of keeping an invitation to look back and see something tangible when we reminisce in 20 years time!

    Yeah I totally agree! And for the older or less computer literate generation who aren't as comfortable with using the website...I think it is nice....and yeah, gives me something to obsessively scrapbook after the wedding is done!

    I have invites that have inserts. The main info is on the biggest part with venue, time, etc. Then I have a money poem and rsvp insert. The rsvp is a postcard so has our address on one side and the info on the other.
    Ours say I _____ joyfully accept/ regretfully decline
    Menu choices (delete as appropriate)
    Special dietary requirements ____
    The date for rsvp is on the main invite. And I just insert however many rsvp postcards as I need for how many are invited per invitation. Rather than trying to fit all info on 1 rsvp with us having menu choices.
    Hope that makes sense

    I put them in and had slime one on my Fb page reply with this;

    I was just curious why in the USA our RSVP's have the Bride's Parents name and address printed on the envelope with a stamp on them - I'm in the USA so a stamp would be foolish - but the printer does print the address on the return envelope and the Bride puts stamps on them all - at least I had to! The large envelope has poochie parlour, so if someone throws away the large envelope - hard to return the RSVP. Or are the ones you sent in the UK different, Chelsey?

    So I replied saying the invite states where to send the RSVP back to and she says

    You should have put your folks address on it and put a stamp on it.

    No thanks for the invite or anything like that! Charming
