I have found some cars local to me that I really like but the quote that they have given me has got me thinking, so hopefully you lot can help me decide as I have no clue!!

I asked for a quote for 1 rolls royce & 1 daimler & also a quote for 2x daimlers, to 1st collect my OH & his groomsmen & take them to the chuch, then back for myself & the bridesmaids. Then from the church onto our reception venue, then to collect myself & OH at the end of the night & take us to the hotel.
They have quoted £650 for the rolls & daimler or £550 for 2x daimlers plus £50 for collection at the end of the night.

Now the reason I am confused is that they have said due to the short distance between all of the locations (2 mins to church & 7 mins to reception) we could do it all in 1 car, so £405 for rolls royce or £305 for the daimler.
They have suggested picking up OH plus boys, dropping them off then back for the bridesmaids, then back for myself & my dad. Then after the ceremony either the wedding party makes there own way or 2 trips are done.

I'm swaying more towards 2 cars as it just seems like it will work better on the day. xx

Sorry ElizabethF49 I think I've confused you, the quote I asked for was for 2 cars.
I knew the rolls royce would be dearer (but I prefer it) so I asked for the 1st quote to include the rolls royce for myself & the daimler for the bridesmaids, the 2nd quote is for 2 daimlers (ie swapping the rolls royce for the cheaper daimler).

Ah right get you now. Id be inclined to go with 2 cars that way you know everyone in the bridal party is away in a car and not hanging about waiting for it to come back.

Hmm after g00gl!ng images of these cars I think I will be going for the 2 daimlers, the pictures where 2 different cars are used look odd, whereas the 2 daimlers look lovely.

Is £550 a good price for 2 of these??
Also is £50 a good price to take us to the hotel 15-20 mins away??

Im useless with prices but I think that sounds like a good price.

£50 to take you home at the end of the night is a good price too x

I would do the one car. With it only being such short distances. Plus you will be guaranteed everyone is there when you get there :)

I'm also doing just the one car as I only live 2 minutes from the church and the reception venue is only 5 minutes away and it is only costing me £200 so it was a no brainer for me really! I would rather have the one car which can do the job than pay out more money for another car that could be done without, but its your choice at the end of the day xxx

the quote i had for one car was £545 the distance from the my parents to the church where i was going to marry is less than half a mile and the reception venue is the same distance from the church its just around the corner where my parents live, i have found that living at the end of the world everyone seems to think ppl will pay anything when wedding or bridal is at the front it.

OH is saying he prefers the vintage rolls royce, which I do too, so we're going to go for the one nice car.....unless I get a better quote
