We have to have: Music to be played before the ceremony Music as bride enters Music to be played during the signing of the register Music to be played as we leave
I may try and use the before ceremony and signing the register as the same music lol

that sounds like a plan!! i have a friend playing acoustic guitar so might just tell him to play what he likes tbh n just pick songs for when we enter the reception we want a rock song that will make people laugh :P

Does sound like a lot of songs, we're having the Church organ so going traditional for ceremony, haven't thought about music before and for signing register and entering reception ect.

We've been told to have 3 songs to play during the signing to allow time for photos. Plus then the coming in and the skipping out. Omg every time I think about it I get excited :)

If you want a rock song to make people laugh how about AC/DC's Highway To Hell?! I really wanted to walk down the aisle to Metallica's Nothing Else Matters by everyone is telling me it's too depressing so I'm probably going to go with Guns N Roses but not fixed on the particular song - love their stuff so much its hard to decide. Will probably go with November Rain though - 3 guitar solosto rock out to!! I mean erm, 3 guitar solos to walk towards the love of my life to!! We're also having a couple of Led Zeppelin songs, some Sigur Ros, couple of early Green Day songs, Goo Goo Dolls and Audioslave. It sounds like a lot but hopefully as we're signing the register (or afterwards if the registrar won't allow it) we're going to project a slideshow set to one of the Sigur Ros songs of a blessing ceremony we're having a few months earlier but only family are invited to. OH also suggested the Imperial March which then led to us coming up with a list of inappropriate songe to enter to such as 'Who Let The Dogs out', 'Run To The Hills', 'Enter Sandman' etc. Really tempted to play 'The Final Countdown' just before the aisle song but know I shouldn't.

Glad I could help Button-Bell. Sad But True is an amazing song, well the whole album is to be fair. You're lucky - we first danced together to Plug In Baby which wouldn't work so well at a wedding so we're compromising and going with their cover of Feeling Good taken from the same album as our first dance song.

I wanted starlight as a first dance, but fiancé said no. We did then agree on another one, but I think he's changed his mind on that one now too :(
CommentAuthorShowgirl
I suggested Starlight for us to walk out to once we're married - OH says its too showbiz, but didn't actually say 'no'...

I've got the worship band that I play in doing music before the ceremony (it's a church wedding). I'll probably leave them to choose their songs. I've got Faure/Cantique de Jean Racine to walk in to, then the choir that H2B and I are both in will do the signing of the register, with Hail Holy Queen from Sister Act, All I Ask of You from Phantom of the Opera, and Bless the Lord from Godspell. We have the Rose as a fourth if we need it. The signing of the register can take a while depending on how many photos you have done at that point. Then we're walking out to the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah. We're going to have recorded music going on in the background during the wedding breakfast, and then a DJ after that.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

I want here comes the bride when I walk in that's not classed as a religious song is it as we are not getting married in church ?? It's all too much choosing songs I can't even get h2b to talk about other things lol
