I've just had a thought and it's something I'd really like to do!
I'd really like to do a wedding time capsule. With lots of different things from our day in. Like photos, memories etc. The only thing is I'd like to bury it at the church were getting married in, as something to take our children and grandchildren back to in the years to come. I have no idea if the vicar is even likely to grant permission to do this!
Is it a really stupid idea?x

I think that's a lovely idea x

it's a lovely idea, speak to the vicar...the worst he can do is say no. If he does then find somewhere that you can bury it and make it your special place xx

That's a good idea mrsthomson, thank you. I don't come from where we live but h2b has loads of special childhood places :)x

It is such a lovely idea so if the vicar says no find somewhere else. wish i had thought of it first but i might steal your idea xx
Go for it!!! It's not stealing, it's idea sharing. We could do like an exciting treasure hunt with a map and x marks the spot :D how sad LOL x

It's a lovely idea - just a thought though, is there a grave yard at the church? If so I'm not sure how much the vicar will like people digging up and burying things....

I think it a lovely idea Not sure the vicar will allow it though but I'm sure you could always find somewhere else if not x

There is a graveyard yes. Although there is another church just down the road (not used for ceremonies or mass anymore) where all of h2bs family or their ashes are buried. As the plots are owned by his family, I'd imagine we could bury it with his grandparents. Or is that just wrong?x

Very lovely idea, but as you say, it may not be allowed.

I wouldn't say it's wrong, but I'd make sure the rest of the family are comfortable with it too - I don't know if I would be, it would feel too much like taking over someone's final resting place...plus, with the number of churches being converted to private residences, you wouldn't want to turn up in thirty years time asking to dig up someone's driveway!

Lovely idea. Maybe you could bury it somewhere else that is important to you if you can't do it at the church? Xxx

It's a lovely idea, you probably wont be able to at a church because its hallowed ground, but if you find somewhere meaningful to you would be amazing! xxx

Yeah, there are plenty of places we could bury it. H2b has so many fond memories in the village where both churches are, so it'll be near to there :)x

I think it's a lovely idea, although the Church might not be the best of places. Have a think and see what seems right for the both of you

Maybe you could bury it under a special tree or something? xoxox
