I am wondering if anyone knows if its ok to copy a wedding invitation.
I have found an awesome wedding invite which we both love. But the supplier wants to charge £3 each for them. We have been playing around and found that we could actually do these ourselves.
I cant see anything on the website saying copyright or anything. So wondering if anyone else has done this. Obviously wont be exactly the same, ie size, font , wording etc. just the design.

Personally I think you'd be ok making them yourself - you're going to be sending them out to friends and family, not starting a business selling them.

Hi Boycie,
I never thought about copyright but I am doing this. We ordered a sample and took it apart and used it as a template. Like showgirl says it isn't like you are making money from them so should be fine xxx

Yh that'd be fine I think copyright would only apply if you were to sell them

I'm doing the exact same thing! I've ordered 3 different invites from a website, going to see which one I like best then photocopy the rest onto nice card!

I wouldn't worry about it, so many invite companies sell almost identical stationary anyway ! Xxx
