    Hi Ladies :)

As a thank you to my bridesmaids for helping and being there for me, I was thinking about doing something special and a thank you to them. Something like treating them the day before the wedding around where the wedding will take place (I am based an hour away from where we will be getting married). Perhaps having like a manicure before the day, get our nails done etc. Has anyone done this with their bridesmaids the day before? Anyone have some nice suggestions, just to say thank you to them? x

I have got gold bracelets for my girls and was thinking of treating my Mum to a spa day as a thank you - haven't fully decided yet though so will be keen to find out what the other ladies think too.

I haven't even. We are hopefully getting married in Peterborough so there is enough there to do. Even a little thing like going shopping then the cinema in the evening, or perhaps to the dog tracks. I'm not sure! x

its a lovely idea and something that I wanted to do but we ran out of money for things like that. plus i havent found bridesmaids that helpful yet so i dont think ill bother lol. we are going to nail salon the afternoon/evening before which we have booked out and getting some bottles of bubbly but everyone will pay for their own nails. then we will probs just go out for tea but only weatherspoons something cheap but again they are paying for themselves. if you can afford it then go for it x

That's the only thing I'm worried about, if I will be able to afford it haha! I also I don't know whether to take my mum or not. With us being only an hour away, my mum, dad are brother will generally travel up the day of the wedding, where as we all need to be there for us to get ready in time. x

I think a spa day or pamper session sounds like a good idea :-) My bridesmaids have been super helpful and enthusiastic and I would love to treat them to something special but not sure what! I have already spent £195 on each of them for their dress and stole and still have shoes to find/buy! Was thinking of buying a nice piece of jewellery or something to keep? My only concern about planning something the day before the wedding is if I have any last minute things to do - but you are probably far more organised than me!!!

Be careful woth spa days so close to the wedding as face packs etc can open all of the pores and end up with lots of spots!

I'm not sure about the whole spa thing anyway, as relaxing as it would be for the others, I don't think I would be able to relax with so many things going through my head! x

I was thinking about doing them all a dressing gown with diamante's on with bridesmaid on them so would create nice photo opportunities or maybe a bracelet for them and some fancy chocolate for them to open on the wedding morning...
If they are unhelpful i will be giving them coal!!!

I like the idea of dressing gowns but not with bridesmaid on , either with names or nicknames of as then they can use them lots while I feel thing like mugs with its your 18th birthday etc can only be used once and is a bit of a waste of money!

I am literally just looking at them now online to see how much it would be to get customised ones. I'd rather put names on anyway as it would feel more personal to them :) x

We're doing something the night before, which is probably when we'll do last minute girly stuff, routine face mask etc and chill with the family. Will give gifts that night or in the Morning! Nice idea for you though... sounds ideal. X

^ DO NOT DO FACE MASKS , The night before an important event is all about ensuring your skin looks radiant, healthy and glowing. It is definitely NOT the time for deep cleansing facials, extractions, microdermabrasions, dermarollers, blackhead/pore strips, clay masks or anything at all that is even remotely harsh on the skin. The last thing in the world you need is to encourage redness, flakiness or blemishes to rear their pesky heads resulting in greeting you with a cheery good morning wave as you peer into the mirror on the morning of the big day. No, the night before is about soothing, re-hydrating and brightening. Face masks bring out spots.

Obviously we all want our skin to look good on the day, so when might be a good time to indulge in a face mask - 2 days before, a week before?

I'm not into face masks anyway luckily. I used to do them when I was a teenager and they just used to irritate my skin so much. I've never had the best skin anyway. x

I always do a particular face mask before big events. I use enemies, tried tested and always can miracle for me. No one should try anything new though. Cheap face masks do that to skin but a good one that is for skin type or tailored and of high quality that you use regularly should be fine. I use the elemis range which mostly uses natural enzymes like papaya and pineapple extracts. It leaves my skin beautifully soft, smooth and radiant. I always apply their moisturiser after, it's Wonderful! Especially with breakouts!

My bridesmaid is doing my make up and stuff and she said she is going to use bare minerals? I think that is what it's called! And she wants to do the whole face masks and stuff, but she worked in a beauty salon so I'm sort of 50/50. I would love to treat my mum to Paris! That sounds lovely! X

if you are not sure whether you will have the money you can always arrange something like all getting your nails done together, and then if you have the money on the day then you could offer to pay then. im just gonna get some bottles of prosecco for whilst we are having our nails done for them as i have already got them presents to give them on the morning x

    Personalised cupcakes?!
Maybe a little makeup set, like a gloss, blush and eyeshadow set they can put in their purses/bags as like a "quick fix" kit?
Dressing gown (ive said that already i know)
    Slippers?
    Personalised keyring, something pretty?
    Chocolates!
    Earrings, bracelet, necklace, ankle bracelet?
Clutch bag or pretty bag for the day they can put their stuff in on the day and they can match your colours?
Clothes Voucher or just a voucher and a little poem or note saying something about them all being individual so as a thank you they can choose their own gift and have their own way to remember the day?

I know a lady who does amazing cakes if you need one! ;) xxx

I would do personalised cupcakes, but I am having cupcakes as the wedding favours so they would be all cupcaked out! The clutch bags sounds like a great idea actually. x
