I've been looking for our honeymoon recently and have fell in love with a place but it is £4000 for 2 weeks all inclusive(for both of us) The whole of our wedding is only 8000 so is 4000 too much just for the honeymoon??

Ours will work out about the same I think- about £1750 each and we are considering a flight upgrade. At the moment I think I am more excited about the honeymoon than wedding!

We're going to look for cheaper options but at the moment we're looking at a little over £6000 for 8 nights

We have paid 2000 all inclusive to cuba. More expensive than we initially budgeted for but looks to be well worth it!

We have paid £4000 for two weeks, one in sorrento, Italy, and one in Taormina Sicily. We are only bed and breakfast tho, and it's very small boutique hotels. Our wedding budget is about £18000.

This is the most we have ever spent on a holiday, and we haven't holidayed in 5 years, so, we were happy to spend a bit more

Ours is costing not far off £7000 for a week in Barbados followed by a week in Saint Lucia.

It all depends on what your budget is for you! We decided we were going to have a once in a life time Honeymoon so have gone all out both locations being All Inclusive. Barbados hotel is 4* and we have excursions included in this hotel and for Saint Lucia we are staying in a 5* Hotel and we have a spa treatment each every day, USD put to our room for extra treatments and a dinner on the balcony at sunset. Both hotels have room upgrades too.

I'm sure we have more included too but I can't remember it all!

Were not going all out on a "honeymoon", were just going to have an all inc holiday in somewhere here like Mexico. It'll cost about £2000 which still isn't exactly cheap, but we won't be going straight after and aren't into doing loads of different things. We're also hoping to have had a baby before we go, so won't be able to do loads of things anyway.

We are going to have a mini-moon somewhere in the uk the day after the wedding for a few nights, probably in a cottage or lodge, which will be about £300.

Not booking it as a honeymoon reduces the cost significantly. X

There is no right price for a honeymoon, that figure is personal to you based on what you can afford and how much you're willing to pay because it's a special trip.

Hubby and I paid £6k for flights and hotels for 2.5 weeks in Hawaii but with spending money on top all in our honeymoon cost us in total around £8k.

Add the cost of the wedding and last year everything wedding related cost around £35k.

Some people will save on the wedding day but splash out on their honeymoon, others will do it the other way round. Spend what you feel is right for you xxx

Thanks everyone. I don't feel like it's too expensive now lol. I would never spend that on a normal holiday but as it's our honeymoon I want it to be really good!! :) xx

I've been looking at honeymoons today too and I think what we want will work out a similar price to yours. We are going to set up a honeymoon donation instead of gifts if guests want to contribute, but even without that we have decided we want to have a once in a lifetime trip. Plus, we have been saving for the wedding for so long and I'm not sure we will be going on holiday this year, so we feel we deserve it! :) xx

i think it all depends on what you want from your honeymoon, if you want a once in a lifetime trip away or just a nice break after all the hectic wedding planning for me personally (with one little boy already another little one hopefully coming soon) it will be our only chance at a holiday just the tow of us for a very long time so our budget for the honeymoon is 5000 for both of us xx

Ours is about the same hun, in my opinion, if we are willing to spend so much on one day, surely spending money on 2 weeks away should be guilt free ;) x

ours will be £1000, this is £585 on camper van hire in cornwall, then £415 on fuel & food, cinema, swimming ect. this is what we want, i originally wanted to suprise h2b by giving him a sat nav that was preset, getting him to drive to get the camper van, then presenting him with tickets to RTTS (a festival which he has always wanted to go to but never had the money or chance to go), unfortunetly, the last ever RTTS was last year, it was shut down as the council in cornwall no longer want all the tourists in one go lol. so instead we will just go down there & have a nice relaxing holiday seeing all the ruins (stone henge, avebury, silbury hill, etc) & shopping, generally having a few days away from the kids!

We're not having one, we'll maybe have a weekend away without the little one so instead we're asking for money as our wedding present from everyone and we're going to save up for about a year and go travelling for about 4 weeks in the summer holidays as a family xxx

    October 31st 2015
    I will be Mrs. Henry
