At the moment I am planning on having one MoH, one BM (11yo) and one flower girl (3yo).
Would it be ok to have more BMs? I am thinking about asking my two cousins (13,15), but I am worried it gets too cramped up front in the register office.

I would maybe see the registry office you are due to get married in and scope it out for size. Also, quite possibly a good idea to check with the registrar how many they are comfortable with being in the room (as in total guests) which might give you a good gauge as to how many bridesmaids you can really accommodate.

Good luck with the planning!! Its so much fun!

Thanks Ch4lky. That definitely helps. We are have an appointment on the 23rd, so we are going to choose a room then. We will need the bigger room, I think, due to the amount of guests, so maybe having 1 MoH, 3 BMs and 1 flower girl wont look silly.
Thanks, Susie. I wish I could have started planning earlier, as I am feeling a little overwhelmed by all the details, that go into a wedding. I guess you never realise how much you have to plan until you plan one. 7 months will fly by so quickly!!!

Of course it won't look silly :) as long as you're happy it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks anyway :)

depends on amount of guests, my cousin has 3 bms her MOH, 1 bm(ME) and a junior, but she had way to many guests that when she we walked in there were loads of people all stood everywhere allong back at sides etc and when we got to front we had no where to sit, no where to stand, it was really akward! I think MOB, and BMs and Groomsmen need seat reserved for them else it get messy.

Oh dear, I don't think it will be that full. At least I hope not. I need to find out how many people I can have there and double check my guest list.
The staff at this register office reserve the front row for the bridemaids, so I think I will be ok seating wise. If not I will tell our best man to make sure no one sits there.

have as many as you want!! you dont pick members of your party depending on the size of your venue or number of guests. im having MOH (best friend & H2B's cousin), 1 Bridesmaid (15 year old cousin) and 2 flower girls (8 and 5 neice and sister). have the people that you really want as your bridesmaids - there are plenty of people on here moaning about unsupportive bridesmaids so pick wisely and if your not sure about someone then they probably shouldnt be a bridesmaid. think practically about cost and who will be a good bridesmaid. if you want to have your cousins then have them :) x
