Is a very lucky girl :)

Erm, can't think of one at the moment but I was given a no7 "set" which I know for a fact was the free gift when you bought 2 or more items of skincare. The box even said"not for resale on it".
My sister was given some leggings one year which you could tell had already been worn.

I was given one blue silicone oven glove when I was about 10 years from my Grandma.... I still don't see the logic of giving this to a 10 year old!!

I got a male Lynx gift set 2 years in a row from my Gramma...even after my Mum told her the first year that it was for men. The year after that I got the female Lynx set...
She was determined.

Nope, and 3 years later we sold it for £10 at a car boot sale so personally I think I did rather well out of it!! :D xx

I was given a voucher for car parts by my ex when we were still together. I didn't have a car at the time. He used them so they wouldn't run past their expiry date. Glad I got rid of him! lol

I was given a toiletry set which would have been lovely but it must have been about 20 years old all faded etc so I chucked it away after christmas lol
CommentAuthorInDreamland
TBH I'm not a fan of receiving toiletries gift sets because I have such sensitive skin I have to be careful with what I use. Even the really nice fancy ones I need to be careful with. I'd love to have J0 M@10n3, M01t0n Br0wn etc. if I didn't have such sensitive skin.
A friend once bought me Japanese chopsticks (the ones with the pointy tips) .......................I'm Chinese, I have hundreds of pairs of chopsticks, Chinese chopsticks. My family and I don't use Japanese ones.
My sister was not impressed with her used leggings. You could see where the knees area had all been stretched.

my OH bought me an iron last year, we'd be living in our house for 6 months and cos we live two doors from my mum i just used to borrow hers so he said i needed one (he's used it more than me) this year i think he's bought me a mop as a joke… to make the iron worse he put it in a shoe box knowing my addiction to shoes just to throw me off xx

A phone charger for my iPhone!! That 25 quid could of got me some shoes.... I try not to be ungrateful, but I couldn't hide my disappointment when I unwrapped that hahah. He's learnt his lesson since that lol. Never let him hear the end of it. His excuse was 'well, you needed a new one!"

I once got a really old woman looking shawl (when I was 18) from my ex's parents. Not only was it ugly, it was made from some kind of material that moulted. There were no tags, so I assumed it was a recycled gift.

I once got given this massive Pink Poster which was aslong as the wall was high with the saying "Keep calm and eat Cupcakes" Im not a big fan of cupcakes or posters, Even when I was a teen I was not one for posters all over the walls, besides the fact we live in rented accommodation which I cannot take the risk of ruining the walls! I always really think about my gifts and what the person will like etc, Prefer to give them vouchers then get something they will hate. My fmil got me a coat in 2 sizes to small in a style im not a fan of, and because of the shop it came Shop of the Top from could not exchange it for anything as they only go to a size 14/16 max and other affiliated shops are all either for again small sizes or seem to be aimed at older women with nothing in a style I would wear, ended up spending the gift voucher refund on other half.

i was watching daybreak yesterday and they were talking about blokes buying underwear for OH`s ... saying that they tend to buy what THEY like rather than what you would like ....
Have you ever had anything like that? i have and i have a horrible sinking feeling that he has done again this year ( because he can get it online and doesnt think of anything else ..)im dreading it
Lol, Men are hopeless with undies. My sister and I were in a department store lingerie department once and there was a guy in there looking lost. A sales assistant asked if he needed help, he explained he wanted to get something for his gf, so she firstly asked him her bra size, the guy said this "well, she's kinda a medium".
My sister and I had to leave because we were laughing so much and didn't want to embarass the guy.

OH got me a big poster with doctor who on it, now don't get me wrong you all know I live who, but were in rented accomidation an even if we wern't although I love who would not use it as a decorationg theme an all the rooms have decorations in a theme tasteful! That would not go with anything! :S

Ive been pretty luckywith gifts. Worse one OH got me was first year we were together, he gets me two zombie movie DVDs, one really old black and white. I didnt like anything zombie then. I came to the conclusion he got them knowing id pass them back to him lol. He did slightly better the next year by getting perfume. He never gets underwear as he always says "what sise are you again - 16?". Fine if I wasnt actually a 12.
My boss kindly gets me a little gift each year but its always a bottle of something - I dont drink much these days. OH always benefits from this.
My mum tends to always get me a 'token' bit of jewellery not to my taste, but as its usually £10 or less (she leaves the price on) I dont feel too bad not wearing it!
Met my prince charming - May 2002
Finally tying the knot - July 2015

Personally, If I'd been niggled about a household tool but was quite pricey to replace or get, I'd be grateful to get it for Christmas... so long as they also got me a little something nice... This year I've received gifts for Christmas to help build up my dinner service. Another year job got me some amazing culinary knives (I'm big into my gourmet Cooking!) A pastry board and a mezzaluna Knife The worst gift, hmm, probably when an ex boyfriend got me 2 war books and a really random crappy chocolate fondue set (lit by tealight) one of my specialities is chocolate making. I constantly got books off him, mostly liberal conservative nonsense...no mean I'm interested in that because it does affect my life and job, but I am far from an Enthusiast! I still haven't read them, they're sat on my book shelf making me look intelligent... next to all my engineering and mathematics text books from uni, that were actually Used!
