We are currently trying to sort out our budget and one thing has stumped us both. Who should we be buying thank you gifts for. Also how much should we be spending, as we are working to a tight budget has anyone got any ideas of nice but not expensive gifts.
Thanks in advance

thanks, we hadnt really allowed anything in budget for this . We have already gone £750 over on venue budget and £200 over on room decoration. our budget that started out at £3500-£4000 has now raised to £4500-£5000.... so much for saving for a deposit for a house and ivf :(

Yep, parents, bridesmaids and groomsmen. There is no set amount you have to spend, just a small token of appreciation that they can keep. My parents got a joint bouquet of gorgeous flowers, FIL got a bottle of whisky (hubby's mum passed away many years ago), my sister (MOH) got a gift voucher to put towards a handbag she wanted, my bridesmaid got earrings bought in the sale, our FG got a playd0h set, all the groomsmen got cufflinks bought on promotion xx

Oh that's a good idea. Ill keep an eye out in the sales. I don't want to seem mean so that way I could get something nice. X

We will be buying gifts for the following people
My mum - no idea yet but maybe flowers My dad - cufflinks Best man - cufflinks Adult usher - cufflinks Nephew usher - ??? Sister BM - jewellery she will wear on the day (most expensive gift) Page boy is our son I have no idea if or what to buy him he will be 6 almost.
Should we get H2B's mum something? She isn't helping out at all but wouldn't want to leave her out. Only thing she will do is sit at top table and dance with my dad grudgingly.
Xx

I'd suggest a smaller bunch of flowers for MIL Elizabeth if she isn't helping at all but shouldn't be left out.
The pl@yd0h set was also in the sale. Weddings are so expensive so definitely look out for offers and sales xx

if your getting bridesmaids jewellery for the day then you just give them that as their present on the morning. for your page boys i would suggest something they can do on the day to keep them occupied e.g. play doh, lego etc and give them this during the speeches.
we are doing the following gifts:
2 moms and step mom- flowers and a personalised candle saying thank you 2 dads and best man - cufflinks, hip flask and personalised socks 4 ushers - hip flask and personalised socks MOH - necklace, bracelet, earrings, personalised dressing gown Bridesmaid - necklace, earrings, personalised dressing gown 2 Flowergirls - necklace, personalised tshirt page boy - either play doh or lego - havent decided Auntie (making cake) - Flowers H2B Nan (gave us money & doing reading) - Flowers
it might sound like a lot but ive got all this stuff really cheap by shopping around. all of this costs £350 but most of that was the flowers. and there are presents there for 17 people so approx £20 each. nothing in the list cost more than £10. everyone will get their presents on the morning except for flowers and page boy gift will be given out during speeches x

I'm giving my BMs the jewelly they will be wearing as a gift, flowers for the parents.
I didn't want to go over the top so maybe a little bottle of whisly for the men or something? You have plenty of time though sweets to get them in xx

I gave my moh a gift the night before but we also presented her with flowers during the speeches and we presented our nieces and nephew presents during the speech too.
For our junior usher, we got a teddy bear that wore a t shirt with his name on and it said "thank you for being our usher".
