hi everyone just really need a rant, anyone else just really stressing about everything? i am,1. i keep stressing about money and keep thinking i wont have enough for everything :( iv worked out i need around £700 (spent on wedding things) a month up until the wedding but things keep popping up that needs paid and to be honest i keep thinking i wish we waited another year but cant be done as already paid a big deposit for venue etc.., 2. colour schemes - its going from royal blue to light blue, iv bought more things in royal blue now but i just dont know! and stressing if anyone from my side of the family will even show up and what will happen if they do as both sides hate each other, my mum and dad dont talk and my dad even says he will see if he will come so i know that means he wont - hes got mental health problems and gets very anxious in social situations which i understand but it means iv no one to walk me down the aisle or speech ect, so our top table now is me and h2b with ushers, bestwoman and bridesmaids. but thats another things 2 bridesmaids live quite far away so not sure how dress fitting etc will work :(
so sorry but needed to let it all out! just stressing so much :( h2b just doesnt understand

Wedding planning is always going to be stressful! It is for everyone. Just keep focussing on the fact that in 10 months you're going to have the best day of your life and youll become a Mrs. At the end of the day, thats what its all about, not who sits at the top table or walks you down the aisle. Of course it's going to be hard and stressful at times, but it will all come together eventually :) ive seen your photos online, everything looks fantastic!! To me, it looks as if you have absolutely nothing to worry about cause youre doing great :) good luck!! X

In agreement with Shannon here, wedding planning is always stressful. I too am worried that out of the 20 family Ive invited, only my parents will show up, feeling quite bitter about it as I was always there for anything they needed and its feeling like they cant be bothered. Blah.
In the end, the only thing that matters is that you and your H2B tie the knot and enjoy yourselves. If that means having a smaller wedding due to knowing a good deal of people wont show, then that is the way to do it. You cannot change other people's minds, they will inevitably do what they want. So give them a deadline to decide what they are doing (for the sake of your numbers) and stick to it. That way, you have exerted some control on the attendance issue, and can put that worry aside. Ive had to just send everything out and tell them all, you have to this date to sort yourselves out or there wont be a dinner place for you, and basically dont be expecting one if you cannot even send a prepaid note back.
On your colours, your pics are lovely, maybe an amalgamation of the two shades of blue or are you wanting a total change? Could you start at your top table in royal blue, and fade out to lighter blue or white the further from the top table you get?
My bridesmaids live far away. They have their dresses at their own homes and are arranging the alterations themselves. Delegate a responsibility to them, they are their to help you after all, not just show up and get drunk.
Dont worry about coming on here and ranting. My H2B is lovely and the best guy on the planet...but he drives me nuts when I am trying to de-stress by sharing the issue and just tells me to stay calm. Stay calm? I was...I was merely trying to get my worries out of my system GRR lol You are not alone in the Wedding stresses Roxanne, feel free to vent here any time!

Oh sweetie, it is completely normal, well I hope it is cus it's exactly what I am like!! I have never been a worrier, I've always been an over thinker but never a worrier, but I seem to worry about every little aspect of the wedding. oh is always saying I get ridiculous with it.
I worry that everyone will hate the church wedding and sneak out or not turn up to the actual ceremony. I worry that OH's mum won't come as she is in such a panic about it I worry about paying for the wedding need to make sure we have the money for all the final payments in June!! I worry about the pictures and the fact I'm taller than OH I worry about my flowergirl being too shy to come down he aisle. I worry about everything!!!!!
What I mean is.. I worry too about everything! People keep promising me it will all come together in the end and so I am going to pass that on and promise you it too!!

I think every bride worries about the wedding! I am worrying about everything, especially when it comes to money but I'm just hoping that everything will work its self out in the end (but I will still be worrying and stressing about it all until the day is over) xx

I find myself thinking more and more recently I really wish we'd not bothered!!
I'm sure il be less grumpy about it once the venue is paid off as that's so expensive it's overshadowing everything else and it's doing my head in... I feel your pain ):
