Oh my god I've just found an amazing professional make up artist who's portfolio looks AMAZING. She's worked at London Fashion week and other commercial stuff. I am so fussy with make up no one has ever done it how I like it but I really think this lady has a chance! But, bridal make up inc trial is £185. My mum nearly fainted when I told her lol is that a lot?

Blumming heck ladies!!! I'm having my hair and make-up done by someone who has worked on photo shoots and done plenty of weddings etc and her website is great! For my hair and make-up and trial it's costing me £103 which is much better than I thought I would find!
    xx

I went to boots a couple of weeks ago and did a Estee Lauder makeup trial. The women who did it did a fantastic job, so ive managed to persuade her to come round on the day and do my make up for £20 :-) im buying all the stuff she used tho, so when added up going to cost about £150 but i can use it again so quite happy with that.

I know i can find it cheaper, but when i was a bridemaid, at an open day at a wedding dress shop and a friends wedding I have had my make up done and always hated it. No one ever puts enough mascara on and when I asked one of the if she could apply fake eyelashes she looked at me like i was crazy! if this woman can make me look half as good as the girls in her portfolio i will love her forever lol

Pink... I don't think it sounds too bad, if you have the trial and don't like it, do you just pay some of the cash? if so do that, at least you will know after the trial you're not gonna look like a clown on your big day xx

Although I've looked on various sites It's been hard to find somebody that lives locally that will not charge to earth to travel to your home / venue; Thats without the high prices many of them charge. I've settled on a local salon that can cater for our needs and found their number in a wedding supplement that had gone out with the local paper. They proved to be much cheaper than the other options I had considered, but still extremely professional. The initial consultation was free and the make up trial was less than 40.00. On the day they will come out to the venue and I can enjoy complimentary sparkling wine and nibbles whilst being pampered!

I got a quote from a Mac make up artist and she wanted £150 just to do make up on the day, that didn't even include a trial so although it sounds expensive, I think thats an average price for a professional artis Pink

I've been quoted £80 which includes trial and on the day make up. Plus minitures so I can top up my make up during the day. Also she will do my Mum & 2 BM's for £45 each and they will also get minitures. Think she uses the Bare Essentials products xx

Im so lucky my cousin is a beauty therapist and is doing my make up and my brides maids make up as my wedding present. No way I could afford £185. But i suppose if i had the money I would pay it.

try the Bodyshop. they do make up trials and stuff for a small charge and their make-up is GORGEOUS and not tested on animals! and they should be able to do your make up on the day for you (again for a small charge!). my friend works there and is doing mine for me! I wont sicken you with how much i saved but let's just say she's doing it for next to nothing!!! xx

The woman I am using is £120 on the day for my hair/make-up and lashes, then £30 each for the bridesmaids hair. Its £60 for my trial. I wasn't orignally going to bother having my make-up done but i thought as an overall package this was quite a good package - and its the one time im going to do it - I can't wait to be pampered!!!!
