Hay ladies! Ok we decided to have a sweetie/dessert table for the reception after bacon rolls but after looking into it we decided to do it ourselves BUT we want to include our guests too!
So our plan is to provide the sweets and get our guests to bake the cakes, cake pops, cup cakes, brownies or what ever else they want to bake! (We may get a little something for everyone who does bring in something but not sure what yet, we will also get them to write on a place card what they brought in along with their name so we know who did what and the guests know what they are eating) Now I've been trying to think of something to add to the invites to ask our guests to do this ....like a poem or something but can't think of anything! :-(
Anyone have any ideas pretty pleaseeeeee.

We plan a sweetie table, Full of treats and delights, And to make it more special, We wondered if you might, Bake your own sweet family recipes, To help fill the table right up, And bring a part of you to our day, And to be in the setup.
Off the top of my head?

Do you want all guests involved or just those that would really enjoy the challenge? In my family there are people know for their baking prowess. I would contact them personally and say something like, "you're X is fantastic, would you be interested in baking some to feature on our dessert table?""
Yeah, also, if literally everybody baked something, it may be wasteful and overwhelming!

We know that you are sweet And to help us would be a treat Brownies, cakes, puddings and pies You could bake for guests surprise. A family favourite we would love Let inspiration strike from above Sweet Items that we can all share Would show us fully how much you care
We're not expecting everyone to bring something to be honest! I know my aunt and uncle love baking and I would ask my mate but she's doing my wedding cake so don't really want to ask her for anything else! I may just put something in the invite of those who I know will do something!
Love yours Carla, your a star :-)
