We went to a great shop today and they had loads of artificial flowers that I thought looked great (shop was called cou*n*try b*ask*ets if anyone has been). Looking at the fake flowers I could do my 5 BMs, mine, my flower girl petals and buttonholes for £50- bargain! I'm no flower arranger at all so am a bit worried they could look a bit pants.
Has anyone else used artificial flowers?

Ddaly I love your bouquet, that's the look I'm going for with mine but with pastel coloured flowers.
Do you mind me asking how much yours cost?
I had a play around on c0untrt b@sk3ts yesterday & ended up with £200 worth of flowers in my basket lol, as I liked loads of them. I'm from southampton & as far as I'm aware it's quite a distance to my nearest shop, so hoping I can find something similar my way.

i didn't make mine they were ordered, if you want i'll post a link on your wall? i was £200 for 2 button holes, 2 bridesmaids and my bouquet. When we got to cyprus we had our center pieces and cake topper made with real flowers to match the artificial ones and you couldn't tell the difference x

    Thanks for the replies!
I found some that seemed to fit together and looked nice. I like simple flowers so think this could be the way forward.
One more question- would it be weird to have different type of flowers to my BMs? I like small hand ties tulips for BMs but something else for me.

MrsX2b- can I ask how you made the bouquets? I'm so uncreative! I was thinking of literally holding them together with some purple organza around the stems but don't know if this would even work!

Lauram, They are amazing, Do you have a wedding thread yet, If not you should do one, yours things are brill. Amy, Bridesmaids.. I got a 7cm Dry oasis belle off bay and glued(gun) around the belle as the cage pops off if not, I then cut the stems off my roses leaving enough stem to go into the ball (but no more as the ball gets over crowded. I followed a tube vid on where to start placing the first rose (top) Then follow the line down and just followed the vid, I then glued each one in as i went along. Then pushed a clear diamonte pin in to the centre of each rose. Then i got some craft beading wire and some beads and put them on the wire and tied a unused stem to the end to push in the foam so they stick out and curve over the roses. I then curled some other stems and pushed them in between the roses. Then started at the bottom of the handle and wrapped the satin ribbon around up to the top and glued it. I havent finished yet as im going to put baby pink organza around them. For 1 B/hole just brought a fern 2 leaves and used a rose hold them all together trim to size and tape with green florist tape. Then added my beads again. I made 3 bouquets, My bouquet and 10 buttonholes so far and had never done it before like laura said it is easy. The bride normally has a teardrop oasis belle i found my a little harder as i got use to the round ones. But its getting there lol. Little tip if you are worried about lay out and design.. I got some white paper and crayons and drew my roses and cut them out and then a line of beads and glued them on to each other and used silver circles for the pins, Then went out and brought my stuff and went from my design. I have to say i told my h2b i was making my flowers 1 mo, so he came home from work that day and stood staring at me (im sitting down just finished my paper design (buttonhole) and say do u like it) He looked at me gone out and said "look i know u wanna make the flowers your self but you cant use that people will laugh.. pmsl i was like its not what i intend to use its just a template thing.. Men lol. Also i think that bm bouquet has 18 flowers.

Hi everyone, I am having artifical flowers from a flower shop. The good thing about artifical flowers is that they can be done weeks in advance and I can see them and change them until I am completely happy. Also I can pick them up a few days before rather than waiting for them on the day. Because I want teal orchids, the flower shop can colour match artificial ones. Plus they are cheaper than real ones.
