my venue comes with chair covers included in the venue price (awesome) but their ivory. Before I knew this I had tried on some ivory wedding dresses and they really didnt suit me so I know I want white. Will it look weird with the chair covers or am i thinking about this in far too much detail??! xx

Ask to see them and look (and the table cloths!). Ivory covers a wide range of colours- my bridesmaid dresses are apparently aubergine and ivory- looks white to me!

I was going to say the same, sometimes ivory looks white, I would do what dove said and ask to see them xx
I am now Mrs Stacey Stiles and loving it!

I have seen them they look quite 'creamy' coloured, they have table cloths and napkins etc all to match, really good quality stuff they only use for weddings. Im going to tie purple sashes round them so may be that will distract from the ivory...

Have you seen the room set up with them?

I will do a swap with you lol... I want ivory but the hotel only provide white so ive got to pay extra for them!!! I would be asking if you can pop along the next time they have it set up for a wedding so you can see x x
Do not disturb... Already disturbed enough!

to be honest i dont think anyone will notice. have u ever been to a wedding and though "omg her dress doesnt match the chairs?!" lol...x
Snap jelly - I worry about the same things, but H2B just reminds me to get a grip and he's right. Some things are only going to be noticed by us, so not worth worrying about!

If your dress is white & they are ivory then it will just make your dress all the more brighter.
Ivory tends to look slightly dirty next to a white satin..so your dress will have more of an impact!

I worry about these things to must be a bride to be thing. I have a pink sash for my hen night (although iv not supposed to have seen it) and now I think I need to get a pink dress to match :) I honestly dont think you would notice with ur chair covers and dress think we are just worriers. xx

why dont you put white sashes on the back of the chair covers, instead of purple... or put both on. ive saw some pictures with 2 sashes on and they look pretty. google image it !

I've got a White dress, was going to have White chairs covers but the venue has ivory table cloths and I wasn't going to spend money changing the table cloths to White. I'm hiring the chair covers and they told me that having a White dress and White table cloths makes you disappear in to the table when you sit down (if you get what I'm saying). I've also got two sashs cadbury purple and silver. The silver makes the purple stand out.

I agree with Kay ... with a wee bit of contrast with the ivory you won't just look like a head at the top table, I wouldn't worry about it too much hun, who's gonna notice to be honest? ;) x

Similar to what kizzy 81 says, i read a good piece of advice somewhere that said "don't let yourself get stressed out over the small details, only you will notice them and at the end of the day the reason you are there is to become husband and wife, and so long as that part goes ok, no one will even think about the little things"
We all want the day to be perfect - but I guess its a matter of putting things into perspective!

I can tell you this having photographed at a lot of weddings - absolutely no-one will notice.
White / Ivory / Etc. no-one will comment, no-one will even see that they are not the same shade.
Now if you are going colours, say purple, them your purples do need to be more consistent.

Is it a really light venue? I probably wouldnt in our venue because the day time one has an entire wall made of glass. If not I reckon you could easily get away with it. You'll be so beautiful that people won't even be looking at thetable cloths and chair covers x
