    Hi all,

Got a bit of a dilemma in that I've got too many bridesmaids for the budget! There's going to be 7! I've got my sister, best/oldest friend, another friend (i am also her moh), then i have three best friends from uni (have only asked one so far but don't feel like i cannot ask the others) - also my h2b niece is our flower girl and i feel like i should ask his sister to be a bm which i know she'd love. the only problem is that it just feels like too many budget wise. just wondering if anyone has had experience hiring bm dresses? especially in the norfolk area xx

Stop asking until you have your budget sorted. These should be ladies whose support you want on your day and throughout your marriage, not just those you feel would enjoy the privilege. If you don't have the budget for that many you should keep it to those closest to you.

I'm not sure hiring dresses will save you money. Have you thought of purchasing dresses for the Bay of e, high street, or outlets. British*H*S is having a good sale right now, some ladies have found some real bargains there.

Hi, thank you :) It's hard to pick between them - I've got my sister and my oldest friend and the friend I've already asked that I'm closest too - then the other two friends from uni/my other half's sister would come after that but I felt like I had to ask my other friend because I'm her moh and I would have found it awkward! I did think about leaving it as the four of them and explaining to my two other friends and my h2b's sis that we would have loved to have them but can't afford all the dresses. I think I'll just find it weird having one of my less close friends in the pic's but not my other 2 close friends if you know what you mean. Have thought about the bay - there are actually a couple of dresses in my colour scheme on there now but people tend to sell one dress at a time so could have the same colour dresses and different styles for all of them. Will have a look at British H - thank you :) xx

If the auction only allows you to buy one dress at the time you can always contact the seller to set up an auction that lets you bulk buy dresses.

The ones I've found have been from sellers selling a bm dress they wore so they only have one in that style/make etc. Could go with different dresses but same colours I guess. Got lots of time so hopefully will find something! xx

Oh... It might be worth looking outside of brand name bridesmaid dresses. Or get a copy. A lot of ladies on here have had luck with she who must not be named. I'll put the info on my wall as I can't comment on yours.

my h2b wanted to hire bridesmaids dresses there isnt that many places around but the few we did find in the northeast were about £95 each to hire which i think is expensive but they are half the price of the bridesmaid dresses we have seen and would like to buy so im hoping the ones i like may go into discounted stock by time we come to buy them. depending on what you want i think some of the named high stores have some pretty nice ones in and they always have sales on. x

look at outlet stores and also catalogue's as they can offer buy now pay later as well as cheaper than stores.

I paid £40 for each of my BM's dresses and they look so much more expensive than that. also set a budget for each BM and they can then find a dress within that budget or contribute towards the dress, if you give them a bit more freedom with the choice then they will be more willing to help with the cost of them.

I will put a link on your wall with the catalogue where I got mine from.
