Just ordered my bridesmaids a small pearl & diamanté clutch bag for their essentials on the day (lipgloss, perfume, brush etc!) and now I think I'm going to go with wrist corsages instead of a bouquet for them.. They've all said they'd prefer the clutch to a bouquet (makes sense plus I wouldn't expect them to carry their flowers with them all evening anyway... At least a clutch bag would be useful for them!)

Do you think the corsage and bag will be too much going on? Would you just have either or? X

These ones are quite glamorous :)

Good idea with the pockets, just be sure they are placed well otherwise he contents might make the dress look a little 'bulky', very handy for bridesmaid essentials though! X

I'm not a fan of wrist corsages, and I'm having a hard idea wrapping my head around the idea of carrying a clutch down the aisle and in pictures.
I love clutches and would consider getting them for my bridesmaids. But as a traditional girl they'll get a bouquet to carry down the aisle and for some of the pics.

I have to agree with Sarah; I'm not a fan of the corsages, but I can understand that clutches would be handy for them during the day. Maybe they could leave them on their pew for the walking down the aisle part. Have you considered a single rose or something similar for them to walk down with? I'm not sure what flowers you are going for, but that would potentially be cheaper and give them something to do with their hands.

had a look on google, bridemaids and bags, and some of them look nice, and have flowers too, but some just look to cluttered.

When I was bridesmaid for my brother's wedding we had bouquets and bags. For the service we left our bags with the usher, and held the flowers; then the bouquets were used to decorate the top table.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

My bridesmaids will be having bouquets and a little bag that hangs from the wrist, big enough to keep essentials in but small enough that it won't get I the way or look clumsy, some thing like this

Apparently they are called dolly bags and they are about £3 on the Bay

Is anyone else having bags for their bridesmaids? Maybe not in place of a bouquet, but just as an extra gift? X

My bridesmaids have clutches which match their dresses but they will be left in the room ( my mum is taking them in) so they wont be walking down the isle with them.

I brought the bag and contents as a gift they have lipgloss, perfume, little make up pallet, tissues and at the moment their jewellery but they will be wearing that on the day. xx

Our moh is having a bouquet but my other 3 older bridesmaids are having wrist corsages and holding hands with my 3 daughters (the flowergirls) I think the clutch and corsage idea is good x

I was thinking about this too... do you supply bags for the bms? I was BM a coupe of weeks ago and we weren't provided bags but the the past two time we were, i was at a loss and had to have my friend carry my lipgloss for me.

Loving the idea of the bags being placed on their chairs though. xx

Being a BM 3 times in the last 2 years we always had someone take our bags off us (and the brides) upon arrival - either an usher or someone at the venue. Then we collected them before the reception started to grab our cameras and re-do make up etc, then they were just left on the tables for the reception and evening do, as long as your venue is secure I wouldnt worry too much. And if u arent having them holding bags in photos I wouldnt buy them for them as it doesnt really matter if they match or not?

I like corsages but I cant imagine BMs without bouquets to be honest xx

I've just received my BM bags, they match the dresses in colour and have a peacock feather design but they will have a traditional small boquet and leave bag on chair during photos. I got them to put little essentials in for the day and as a keepsake
