hun they cant force you to be there all day, especially if its your mums birthday, just tell them that you want to spend time with you mum but you will try to be there for the evening ,,or maybe swap it (if you get what i mean)

No you're not. :-D
Explain that its your mums 50th and that although you would love to be at your FSIL's wedding, you can't let your mum down - she's your mum after all honey x

i agree with goff, to you your mum comes first so stuff them! you have to do whats most important to you xxxx
Well there is 2 reasons not to attend the evening hun. First and foremost it's your mums 50th but secondly the reception is in a place where you would probably not be comfortable. I would go along to the ceremony and then leave x x x
Do not disturb... Already disturbed enough!

Poor Lemondrops - your future in laws seem one worse than my HB2s lot, and they're bad enough! So who is it saying you need to be at the wedding all day - SIL? If so, praps u should check out if its just her being dificult or the whole lot of them.
