Just wanted peoples thought s on whenever you really think its bad luck for groom to see dress before big day? dont tell the bride has made me question this xx

I dont really think its bad luck imo (think thats just an old wives tale) but i still dont want h2b to see mine,only because i NEVER wear dresses and i want him to be surprised when he see's me in it,i dont want to ruin it lol altho i have known of ladies h2b's helping them pick their dress :) xx

I am with Samantha on this one as I never wear dresses either. Mine is turning up in October and have to store it at our house which I thought might be an issue but H2b assures me he won't be peeking as he does not want to spoil the surprise, bless him x

mine is a big surprise for H2B and i would never want him to see it before the day. i suppose he has seen it as it was at a wedding fayre (and he actually said that he hated it and if that was my dress then i should send it back haha!) but im confident and know that he will absolutely love it when its on. its one of the things that he is really looking forward to seeing and he used to keep trying to guess what it would look like but he has now given up guessing. its really important to me that he doesnt see it so the dress will stay in the shop until the day before the wedding xx

I dont want my fiance to see my dress, i would like him to be completely surprised, i would be scared he didnt like if i showed him a picture of my dress, although it always looks different on, i think i would be doubting my choice then. its better not to show i think

No, not really. Let me explain he hasn't seen it yet but I wouldn't freak out if he did. Sure it would ruin the surprise, but I don't think it's really bad luck.

I am a bit funny about luck, but that not the 1st reason I don't want him to see it.. I want the first time he sees it to be our wedding day :-) I feel my dress would be less special if it wasn't a surprise for him and everyone else ! Xxx

He doesn't like the skirt? Tbh if you feel beautiful & stunning in the dress, that's what matters. The dress will look different on you and your confidence and beauty will add to the overall look. You're hubby will love it on you and will have completely forgotten about that image.

I don't think it's bad luck at all that said i wouldn't want my h2b to see my dress it's been hanging in my daughters wardrobe for months but i know he doesn't want to spoil the surprise and see it. I would be gutted if he did. I also don't think it's bad luck to see each other before the wedding, we will be having breakfast together on the morning and parting company at around 12ish he will next see me in all my glory at the venue.

My hubby saw my dress before we married!!!! Tho, not me in it. I just held it up for him to see. After the Wedding I asked him if he could imagine me in the dress I showed him and he said he couldn't of pictured it!!!
I would never of let him seen me in the dress before.

Not so much for bad luck but just tradition.
I didn't want anyone seeing my dress before the wedding or even have any idea of the style, silhouette or level of detailing. The only ones I wanted to know were my mum, sister and best mate who all came dress shopping with me.

Not superstitious but really want to surprise him so yes, would be upset! Not even showing dad or brothers it! Just sisters, bridesmaids, mum and one aunty!

My dress will be a surprise for H2B. I'm not superstitious, I just like the tradition. Plus myself and the two sets of parents, who have both seen a photo, have had great fun telling him it has fireworks, wheels, and Noddy and Big Ears on it. If this stuff was true I'd never get into the church, let alone down the aisle.

My h2b was with me when I chose my dress, in fact we chose it together, he saw me try it on and everything. His opinion on my dress is the only one that matters (apart from me of course) so it just made sense xx
After the initial try on it has gone to my sisters along with my veil, tiara and all other stuff, none of which he has seen so he still gets the surprise of seeing me in it with my hair done, tiara and veil and all the finishing touches xx

If my other half saw it I wouldn't be particularly bothered however I don't plan to show him it and would rather he gets the full impact on the day with hair, flowers etc. He has seen it in a picture (doesn't know it's my dress) and said that it's 'huge' and he doesn't picture me in something like that at all!

My h2b came with me to pick my dress he won't see it again till the wedding and will look a lot different when it actually fits properly. His opinion is the one I hold above all others so made sense for him to come with me x

my h2b has seen the dress i love but i wont let him see me in it until the big day. I want him to be wow'd when he sees me walking down the aisle. As for bad luck? No. I think if you are destined to stay together you will. The groom seeing the dress wont alter that xx

I wouldn't be bothered if he saw it, but he wont as no doubt it will go over to my parents after all the fittings as I am staying at my parents the night before mainly because he said he was going to stay with his mom the night before and I figured I might as well go over to mine rather than staying by myself lol
However I am refusing to tell anyone what my dress is like so its a surprise for everyone, my mom is the only one who has seen it as she came with me. I have however sent my nosy friends pictures of other dresses I've tried on just to wind them up

I have showed mine on a picture to H2B but he doesnt know it's that one!!! I have showed him dozens of dresses and asked him to rate them out of 10, or just say yes or no. So i thought i would brave it an put the one Ive bought in there. He said it was his favourite!! YAYYYY!!! Along with another one which was completely the opposite lol.
He doesnt know he's seen it (and pretty sure he has wedding dress blur!) But he doesnt want to see me in it before the day, and neither do I- I think its like the unveiling of a princess!! lol :)

If my H2B did see my dress he wouldn't be able to visualize me init til he actually saw me in the dress on our big day so I wont to stick to some traditions Like not seeing me till our wedding day have dinner etc together the night before then not until I'm walking down the aisle will he see the dress I don't believe its bad luck at all just growing up hearing the superstitions they get stuck in your head, I think I just like the Tradition =D <3 X
