Hi guys, I'm lucky in that I have over 2years to plan my wedding but I am ALREADY stressing! My main stress is the bridesmaid and junior bridesmaid dresses. I'm not tight in any way but I begrudge paying £1200 on 6 dresses when I also have to buy shoes, bags, posys and pay for hair make up and nails especially when I very much doubt the dresses will be worn again! I have looked at so many dresses online and have come to the conclusion that I will have to order offline and hope the colour is ok when they arrive! Has anyone else had trouble and what have you done? Thanks brides xx

You can do a lot better than £200 a dress. A lot of ladies have had good luck ordering dresses from she who can not be named (I'll pop the link on your wall. The Bay and the high street are also great options for bridesmaid dresses.

and even if i had a 15000 poubd budget would never dream of spending £200 per dress, like £100 and thats max more like 50/60 , but as it is the dresses are going to cast around 20/30 as my mums making them and its just the material, do you know anyone who could make them?

Danielle here's the instructions for unrestricting your profile.

    UNRESTRICTING YOUR PROFILE:
If you want to 'make friends' with fellow members, you will need to 'unrestrict' your profile. You will also need to do this so fellow members can leave helpful links on your wall (as no links are allowed on the forum).
    How to unrestrict your profile-
    1. Go to ‘My wedding’
    2. Scroll down to ‘my details’
    3. Once you have clicked on ‘my details’, scroll down again
    4. At the end of this section there will be a drop down box next to ‘privacy settings’ under ‘wall permissions’
    5. Click on the drop down box and select public – people can now post links on your wall and befriend you!

Hi Danielle. Try s3xyh3r (if you can decipher that). I ordered a material swatch & they sent me a £10 off voucher. I ordered flower girl dress FG8888 & the matching bridesmaid dress. They can do the dresses in any colour but this adds £10 to the cost of the dress. They are based in croydon I think so if you are near there you can also go to their shop rather than online. Edited to add that my junior bridesmaid dress was £60 & adult bridesmaid £70.

Definately try the high street Hun! My budget is £40 a dress and I've seen loads of options so far! I was a BM 2 years ago and my dress was £40 from n3xt. A friend got married earlier this year and her BM dresses were £10 maxi dresses in the sale from h and the m and were gorgeous! Get the girls out shopping in the Jan sales that's what I'm doing :D and s3xyh3r is my back up plan if we don't end up with one from high st! Xx
