Hi everyone, there are some great ideas on the forums about honouring/remembering a loved one on the day, but mostly to do with the bride having it on her or in the bouquet etc...my problem is it's hubby 2 be's stepdad as it will be nearly the year anniversary on our wedding day. I'd like to get OH something special he can have on him during the day within his gift box I'm having delivered to him on the morning, has anyone got any ideas please? For example, I thought of a pocket watch with a photo of him in the lid, but OH isn't a pocket watch sort of guy xx

He may not always wear one, but he may do on the wedding day... they're not permanently on show. You could also get him a watch with something engraved on the back?

Hi, what we've had done is a pin badge made of a small bow in wedding colours and hanging from that is a small frame where we are going to put a photo, it's been designed to be worn on the inside of grooms jacket, so not on show but close to the heart :)

Perhaps an alternative might be to have a photo of him displayed on the day with a poem or candle of remembrance? You shouls really ask h2b and see what he thinks is appropriate and meaningful to him.

Thanks everyone, i may do the pocket watch then i suppose it could be as a keepsake rather than something i expect him to use, and i could engrave the back with "so you're not late!" lol!

I like that idea orangezest, he said he wants to remember him discreetly not with anything on show as he thinks will be too painful for his mom. xx

Hi,my h2b lost his dad a few months ago. We get married next june which will be a year since the funeral. I was thinking on doing something similar. He has already got a pocketwatch, any ideas of any other gifts to contain a photograph.?
