    Morning ladies,

Oh god why have I been doing this to myself? I've been trying to be calm about the weather for ages, and every time someone brought it up saing I hope it's dry for you, I would defensively say, well it's noting I have control over ( secretly keeping my fingers crossed) every time I tried my dress on or looked online people were sharing if it does rain it's supposed to be good luck, but are people just being polite?? Each day I've been going online checking the wether, which I wish I didn't now, but I've become slightly obsessed. But it's saying it will be raining. Ad I can't he but feel disappointed, it seems to change daily, but. I just know I. Going to have heavy. Rain, and I don't really have anywhere for indoor photos. I don't want people talking about my wedding ever saying its a shame it rained.

On our Wedding day it was sunny(ish) in the morning??
Then when we came out of the Registry Office it was really windy!!!
We went for photos and it started to rain!!!!
We didn't really have anywhere for photos but we managed!!!

It did upset me a little but there was nothing I could do!!!

Don't let something that you can't control ruin your day??
It'll be a great day no matter what!!!

Best Wishes on your special day!!

    :-)

Every bride is worried about getting 'the' pictures on their wedding day.. After all the hard work to get everything perfect you want to have some nice sunny photo's to remind you of the wonderful day you had becoming husband and wife! Fingers crossed you get some lovely weather to capture all those moments with your beloved :) xxx

Try not to worry over something you can't control. You may still be able to get photos of you leaving the church even if it is raining. Or if it's just a light rain you can brave it and get a few outside. X

I was starting to worry on my day coz we had a long winter & it was snowing a week before and it rained heavy the day before but on my wedding day it was gorgeous!! Sorry that doesn't help lol but my friend who got married about 6 weeks after me, it rained all day for the photos and everything... but you can't see it in the photos and it was still a very beautiful day!!

Some of the best wedding photography I have seen has been on a rainy or cloudy day.. The colour of the clouds during rain or before rain can be pretty intense in photos.. Just get yourself an umbrella to keep close and enjoy your day regardless :-) xxx

    Mrs H-2B.

I've seen some lovely photos using the rain, almost as a focal point for the picture. I'm sure that it won't rain continuously, if it does rain on your day, and you'll be able to get some lovely outside photos. Why not pick up a couple of umbrellas for props in your wedding colours and make it fun for the photos. Have a word with your photographer if you are worried, as I'm sure they will have done something similar before and will be able to reassure you. Have a look on Pinter3st at rainy wedding photos as there are some brilliant ones there.

I'm sure your wedding will be wonderful regardless of the weather and everyone will spend more time talking about how wonderful it was, than the rain! :) Have a lovely day!

My photographer said she gets excited about rainy photos lol, could you speak to yours and see if they have a good idea about what they will do with rainy weather - it may put your mind at rest to know they know what they are doing

I don't know if you have the time/budget to get a few really eye catching umbrellas, some online are fab and may do next day delivery, i'm ordering a few closer to my day and actually hoping we catch a shower just so they can be used lol.

Oh and i have also seen some 'wedding wellies' that looked pretty cool :-)

    Enjoy your day x

I went to one of my best friends weddings 2 weeks ago...it threw it down the whole day!!!

BUT... It was fantastic day!! The photographer knew exactly the shots to take, they even got some good ones through the raindrops on the window of their wedding car. They also bought an umbrella that matched her flowers which was amazing...so there were plenty pics of that.

The bits that the guests remember from the day were all the details, the dancing, the cake, the food- NOT the rain!

I know that you may be a bit disappointed if it does rain...but we live in the UK, just embrace it in anyway that you can- I promise you'll have a fantastic day- whatever the weather!

Apparently it's good luck if it rains on your wedding day!

I was like this before my wedding. The forecast said heavy rain for my day and I was gutted. But on the day it stayed dry until the evening reception which was amazing. So just goes to show you can never trust the weather forecast! It was windy on my day but it didn't bother me in the slightest and it was starting to rain when we wanted to have a big group photo of everybody at the reception venue but I said let's just do it anyway and we all went outside to have the photo in the rain lol.

There's been a lot of good advice, but I'd also suggest figuring out a plan B in case of rain will make you feel more in control. How about a call to your venue and photographer to see what they suggest?

Those photographs are stunning, I have put my order in for the weather I want on my day hehe, don't stress about it enjoy the last few days of planning and look forward to your day - as unpredictable as the British weather is the records are prob wrong :) Big white umbrellas will keep you dry should there be a drizzle or two xx

You can have fantastic photos in the rain! Make the most of what you have. I checked the weather too and it doesn't seem like the rain will last all day so you'll have an opportunity for outdoor photos.

I was worried as when we got married last year the weather was turning. The day before was horredous, It rained all day and most of the night, heavy as well. In the morning it had stopped but it was cold and dull. By the time I came out of the hairdressers it was so hot. I honestly would not worry too much, if your venue is big enough to hold everyone it will be fine. Mine would not have been as the room we got married in had to be shut whilst they changed it to the room we ate in and the rest of the hotel was small.

Everyone will be so happy sharing your day they won't worry about the weather and nor should you. It'll be lovely.

See I'm not worried too much about rain (I love rainy weather lol) the only concern I have is for the particular month I'm getting married there is a high possibility we will get snow! but saying that I am not too fussed, yes I would prefer sunshine but like the other ladies have said no one can control the weather just be sure to be prepared for either rain or sun and you should be fine, plus there is always ways around getting photo's and like above some beautiful rain shots :) I think I may also invest in some snow safe footwear just to be on the safe side lol xx
