I feel a bit odd about coming back onto the forum now I am married Mainly because I have Wedding blues I guess and am a little bit Jel that a lot of ladies still have their day to come!!
In the nicest possible way though of course!
How long did this take to pass if indeed any of you felt it too?

I get the odd pang of pist wedding blues and jealousy however tbh I don't think it's fully set in yet because I have been so busy since we got back from honeymoon plus we still at this stage still have the photo albums from our photographer to be printed and delivered, the last bits of our wedding gifts from the list to be delivered and my dad to finish editing our wedding video (I've seen the first cut but not the finished product).
I'm sure once things have settled down and all things wedding related are all tied up I will get the full post wedding blues.
The only thing I can advise is to stay busy as I think that's what's stopped me from thinking about it too much plus just enjoy being happily married, that's what the wedding is all about in the end, being married to that special one you love xxx

i'm jealous of those getting married now, God knows what I'll be like after the day! I don't think I'll want it to ever end!!!!
And we lived happily ever after!

I had the post Wedding blues!!! I'm going to a friends Wedding this weekend and am slightly jealous!!!!
I think it took me over a month to really settle down. I regularly look through our Wedding album, watch the ceremony DVD, get my dress out just to look at it and read the guest book!!!
We're going on our delayed Honeymoon next week so will probably have the excitement all over again!!! Can't wait to spend 2 weeks with my gorgeous husband!!!

See, I'm the opposite - I'm a wee bit jealous of all those lucky people who are already married. I've still got another 11 months to wait for my wedding *pouts*

My wedding blues didn't kick in for about a month but then they lasted about another month. Starting to feel better now. It's just that I enjoyed my wedding day so much that I want to do it all over again! Lol. Try to have something else to concentrate on and the feeling will pass :)

There are some things about the planning I miss and others I don't miss, like the table plan lol. I miss that excited feeling and anticipation of the big day sometimes but I am so happy hubby and I had our big special day and we have so much now to look forward to and plan in our new life together. I do still love coming on here though and sharing experiences with new b2b's and sharing your excitement xxx

I only got married yesterday so no blues for me yet, I expect them to come once the honeymoon is over.
I'm still not used to my new name and getting presents and cards addressed to 'Mr and Mrs Buckley' feels like they are for my husband's parents! The idea of calling him 'husband' before the wedding felt right but now we are actually married it feels so weird! When I go onto Facebook I see my new name and my profile picture of me and hubby signing the register I'm like 'Ow yeah, I'm married now!'
Can't believe it happened! I'm so happy :D

Don't think ill ever get used to being called Mrs Stacey Solomon! Lol But like a few of you, I am slightly jealous of those getting married soon and that are married. Not sure how I will be after :/ as I know we're thinking of selling our house and trying for another baby....
Do you need to take your wedding certificate to get freebies or upgrades on honeymoon. As we're going to Prague or Mexico in February. But we're going up to Nottingham Forrest for a log cabin and hot tub with spa treatments the Monday after the wedding, wonder whether we will get any then :)

Nope, we never took our marriage certificate to hawaii with us, just told people we were on honeymoon, many asked what brought us out there, those who didn't I always managed to slip it into conversation lol xxx

My dad booked our holiday and he asked them to upgrade the room as it's a honeymoon (we have a double bed rather than twin beds and a sea view). We've been told to tell the check in desk that it's a honeymoon as they have been known to upgrade some newly weds to first/business class seats. My 6'2 husband would love that if we could, more leg room for him!
CommentAuthorInDreamland
Our upgrade was to premium economy which was very nice, we had a row of 3 seats to ourselves plus free wine and bubbly which theyy normally charge for xxx

Hopefully we'll get the same! Last time I enjoyed first class was only for a 30 minute plane journey from Hurghada to Cairo in Egypt. Best plane ride ever, even if it was for half an hour! How did you tell the airport/airline staff you were on a honeymoon, were you quite open about it?

Thank you all for your replies, at least I know I'm normal! ha ha
Its true that after having such an amazing day we want to do it all again! Honeymoon is booked for January so have that to look forward to. First day back at work today and it was awful, really wish I didnt have to work but it was also one hideous day :-(
Oh well, off October half term! Yay

I don't know if it's because I'm very recently married but the idea of doing it all over again is just too much! I feel sleep deprived (have been for a week) and haven't stopped for about a month. I loved my wedding, it could not have gone any better, but I'm now looking forward to a fantastic honeymoon and moving away in 2014 into our marital home. Although I can imagine that once I'm back to work the holiday blues will smack us both in the face and will want to do the whole thing again ;) ask me once I've slept for 24 hours, lol!

I can understand where you're coming from... the Monday after our wedding I burst into tears as I'll never wear my pretty frock again.
I too am slightly jealous of all you that have your day to come - not that I'd change anything about our day - but I felt so special and so happy on that day.
we're off on honeymoon next Wednesday week.. have got a friend that works with V-Gin and so far we've had a room upgrade and an upgrade to premium economy so far... I'll still be in my pre-married name though - haven't changed passport yet.. would be nice to get something special (not that the upgrades aren't special).
