Just wondered what people are having in the evening?

We have gone for one of our venue's cheaper options of sausage and bacon barms and potato wedges and dips.
We get to choose 2 types of sausage from a huge list like pork and chilli and we get to choose from different types of bacon- more choices I could do without haha

    What would you choose?
    2-
Traditional Pork, Cumberland, Pork and Apple, Pork and Stilton, Pork and Blackpudding, Pork honey and mustard, Pork and Chilli,Pork and Leek, Tomato and Basil or Lincolnshire

    1-
Plain back bacon, smoked back bacon, dry cure bacon, or sweet cure bacon??????????????

I love pork and chilli sausages but they have a habit of repeating on you a bit....... not sure that is ideal on the night of your wedding :p
Sausage and bacon barms sounds yummy for evening food.
We are having a hog roast so similar idea with wedges and coleslaw.
Are you going to cut your cake and serve insead of having a desert?
I was debating whether or not to have a separate desert.

Yes we are going to cut the cake because they want to charge £5 pp for desserts so as we are opting for chocolate and flavoured cake we are just giving that. Think we are having a few sweetie trees in the bar area as well.

I love pork and chilli too - they would be my choice haha I dont care if they repeat on my guests :)

Personally I'd choose traditional pork and plain bacon.. I'm a bit fussy about added tastes lol......

We're having a hot and cold buffet.. So chicken bits, wedges etc, then cold meats with optional buns, salad etc :-) xxx

Thats kind of what my fiance said- he said get traditional pork - so I guess I could choose one flavour and one more traditional like lincolnshire or plain traditional.
I would have had a buffet but they want £17 pp for a buffet and only £11 for sausage and bacon which I love anyway and I dont really care for sandwiches - im a fussy eater!

Were having bacon and sausage butties etc were gonna go for the plain option keep everyone happy including kids lol if they want extra flavour they can use the dips/sauces that get with them, for desert they've got an individual wedding cake pre sealed incase want to take home :) im having a sweet buffet so hoping the only desert we need to provide is at the sit down meal Xx

I'd say choose one plain like a Lincolnshire and one flavoured, probably pork and apple because its a classic and most people would like it x

cornish wedding so theres only one thing for it!!!!! pasties and scones with jam and cream!! asties being made and delivered by a local company and im making the scones, will also have a few other picky bits on the table but will depend how much time i have left for cooking after decorating venue and before the actual wedding day ! such pain having no one to help bet i find plenty willing to eat though! lol but need to cut costs so making food myself is helping us afford the wedding in the first place. Im not planning on feeding everyone as such in the evening just having food to graze on the main guest will have been fed at the wedding breakfast.

One BIG day will lead to lots of little happy days !!

    I'd go for:
    Traditional pork
    Pork honey and mustard
    Plain back bacon

I would think most people like the norm and arent too adventurous so those options are safe, although personal taste I like all the fancy/different ones!

well I'm a Lincolnshire girl so it has to be those and the traditional pork and plain bacon as I don't like smoked

we are having the ploughman's for the evening we were originally going to have the normal cold buffet but my niece is coeliac so it would have meant changing loads on the menu or her not eating at all so we picked the ploughman's

its cheese, home baked ham, Lincolnshire pork pie, Pickles, Green mixed salad, French bread and minted New potato a lot easier for her to have something to eat and my sister will take her some bread rolls form home

We're having a hog roast, (in buns with stuffing and apple sauce)with cheese tartlets, salad, coleslaw, pastas, crushed potatoes with crusty breads and fruit baskets at £7 per head but catering for 70% ...

I think if it were me, I'd offer mainly plain items but maybe offer 20% of something a bit different if you've got the option to as some ppl do have different tastes x

Lincolnshire and a pork and apple or pork and mustard... or eve venison! Just make sure they're good quality genuine lincolnshire suasages... if theyve used dried onion/leek as opposed to fresh in them when they made them, they'll be awful!

I love Pork and Apple sausages! YUM!

We are having an evening buffet, so many choices. We too are cutting our cake so that will be our dessert so we have more choice for the savory options.

I would choose the pork, honey & mustard and the lincolnshire if they're genuine Lincolnshire sausages if they aren't then the Cumberland I would then have the sweet cure bacon.

We aren't eating till 4pm as we don't get married till 2, we are having a buffet style but the lady doing it doesn't have a set buffet menu we are able to be as creative as we like so thinking of pork tenderloin and ham cooked in coca-cola that kind of thing, as our venue is a golf club the lady who runs the tearoom where our marquee is we are going to ask her to have the food hatch open so evening guests can buy burgers, yes that's right not a miss-print we are getting evening guests to pay there own if they want something.

I love pork and leek sausages!!!! You have some pretty good choices there!!!

We are having sausage and bacon barms and posh cheesy chips. Our venue charge extra for desserts and cheeses but have told us we can provide our own and the chef will set it all up for us at no extra cost. my uncle runs a bakery so we will be getting some yummy cakes from him!!!

I would go for something plainish for the fussy people so tradional pork sausage and then maybe pork and apple as they are scrummy!
As for the bacon plain back bacon all the way :-)

i don't like bacon, so id have no idea, probably anything other than sweet i don't like sweet in my food unless its desert lol

im going to be really boring and say traditional pork as well, you cant really go wrong with that i don't think

well, personally id go for the tomato and cheese option, but if i was catering for the majority, then plain pork haha
