Its a company that organize hen-dos. I know that earlier this year alot of us on here received text messages saying we had come second place in a competion. A competion none of us believed we'd entered. We believe (not confirmed) that they got our details from here. It was offering us a £100 pound off a hen do if we booked via them. Some people recieved this text a few times and I also believe some got it via email too. Now I would like to know if anyone has received the letter via post...
I got it through the post as well. I think that they can only have got the details from here as they have my wedding date down as 23rd July 2010 - this is my birthday and was put in as a date so I could join the site but before we had set our date. This is the only place they could have got the details from.

Emma, you need to read UKbride's Privacy Policy!
When you joined you chose to opt in to receiving info from our partners...
Join Page clearly says -
Please ensure I receive FREE information from UKbride's partners; suppliers of products and services which I may find useful during my wedding planning.
i had these through the post aswell this morning thought it was abit dodgy with the fact they only give you 4 days to spend them and i didnt remember entering a competition :-(
I haven't received anything either, clearly I ticked the right box!
But what I would say to J is that while free information about wedding planning is great, constant spam and phone calls, along with claims to have won a clearly non-existent competition, is quite another thing altogether.

Thanks DrunchPunk. I totally agreed with what you've said xx
J - I really did believe I had opted out! I'm usually spot on with things like this and as I remember from a previous thread quite a few other people felt the same. I've not recieved anything else. Just this Redseven stuff..

I also agree with DrunchPunch. I haven't recieved anything either as I read the privacy policy thoroughly and ticked the right box but I do think constant letters, texts and emails from Redseven isn't free information it is harrasment and there should be a way that people can opt out of recieving these things.
