Wedding Forum - Personal "Promises" to each other...........

if you could say anything what would you want to say thats from your heart ?

I'd like to add this into our vows.

I'd say something like...

I promise to help you be the best 'you'
I promise to encourage and support your ambitions as if they were my own
I promise to learn to cook so I stop burning everything!

I think they really need to be personal to you both. Lovely touch though x

I've always liked:
Name of Groom, you are my best friend. I promise to laugh with you, cry with you, and grow with you. I will love you when we are together and when we are apart. I promise to support your dreams and to respect our differences, and to love you and be by your side through all the days and nights of our lives.

I've written my own vows, so far I've got

I can't promise not to be erratic, but I promise to always make life fun and never boring
I cannot promise to always be strong, but I promise to always be there for you
I can't promise that I won't sometimes be moody, but I promise to show you love, and to tell you every day how special you are
I cannot promise that I won't hurt your feelings sometimes but I promise to always be honest with you.
Above all I promise that I will always love you

May need a bit of tweaking but I'm happy with it so far
