I've noticed balloons are quite popular again was thinking of having a personalised one by our cake, an arch over the bar and maybe some cloud nines x
CommentAuthor~Beauty&TheBeast2Be~
We're having a balloon arch in our colours behind the main table, and a couple on the table as well. You can get people who will come and dress it for you, or you can buy DIY kits. I've recently bought one for my daughter's Christening, as a trail run. xx

Balloons Decor
i.e. the lady by me, for exactly like teheabove, all chairs and sashes, balloon decor and backdrop charges £535 for 60 people.
So i'm trying to work out, if using BayE, @m@zon ect, if it's cheaper doing it myself.

Were having a little balloon heart behind the cake and then 3 clusters, 1 either side of sweet buffet and 1 on the kids craft table, the kids will then be able to take them home after Xx
CommentAuthorGlitterfairy
We did not have many. A bundle in the corner by the top table and also a smaller set by the cake. Did not want to over power the room.
Were not having any in the day. But were bringing them out at night. Probably most with air in as I love to see kids playing with them. Maybe a few with helium but haven't fully decided.

were having a balloon arch over the food buffet and on a few clusters dotted around the room

I'm thinking of doing the same... the bay do them along with table swag kits...but there are plenty of online outlets that do them much cheaper than on there for the same product so use something like google shopping to help you out!
And we lived happily ever after!

I won't be having any at my day as I am scared of them lol Personally I have been to a few weddings where there were so many balloons it looked quite tacky as they focused more on balloons than any other decorations but if done like the pic above it can look nice

MrsDeaton2be I went to a different wedding and fiancé friends who had a bit to drink kept hitting balloons over candles to wind me up I think people think it just funny phobia ! It's like in a well know food place they give balloons to people and if I hear them being blown up or they are left touching lights I can't eat food !
I can cope with them if not too big or on lights in ceiling or near sharp stuff sounds a bit silly but it is the banging that I don't like

I'm only having balloons blown up on the dance floor for the kiddies don't particularly like balloons that much and the kids end up eating the helium ones within a hour or two lol x
CommentAuthorLauraM9144
ive defo got balloons but i have to admit me and h2b are big kids:) although for the ceremony room and the meal there wont be a balloon in site but when we all head off to the reception venue i have , 3colour ballon clusters 1 white 1 blue and 1 silver on each of the tables with little boxes weighing them down. and a balloon arch in our colour scheme over the buffet table. i have bought the ballons and hellium from the bay and have an arch kit which i really hope is simple lol . i want t make the day and the evening as different as possible as the day is formal and more sophisticated but the evening is going to be all about expressing mine and h2b's personality so we have lots of silly things going on like basket of flip flops, giant sunglasses and props , and lots of other odd things the beach themed reception is all about fun and celebration and i cant wait! (slightly concerned we are having a henish! party the night before in the reception venue after we have decorated it and apparently ive heard rumours of an ann summers party! so im hoping when i say fun things and props around there wont be any "ann summers" products hiding anywhere lol
One BIG day will lead to lots of little happy days !!

I love your pic Lauren, it has definitely got me thinking x

I am thinking about balloons. I think its so hard to get the balance of it looking pretty to it overpowering the room and making it look like a kids part right. Trying to do some googling, but I am undecided how many I want. Has anyone seen the helium filled balloons with a small marble in, so they float, but upside down? Love that idea, but would be scared one of the balloons popped and a marbel fell on someoneones head.
CommentAuthorMrsMaherToBe
I'm having the balloons up the top table, was staring at your pic Lauren and realised this is where we're having our reception! I would have a look around though as iv seen some company's charge £600-£700 for chair covers balloons ect, but the guy our venue recommended is £400 dunno if it's cheaper doing it yourselff. But I love the idea especially if you have lots of kids attending they love the balloons x
