Hi Katie, welcome :) Biggest tip, remember you're not doing it all on your own lol Involve your partner as much as you can, they will surprise you with what they like/don't like. Use this site as much as possible, it's brilliant and an endless supply of knowledge and support. You'll always find someone to bounce ideas off or someone that's been in the same situation.
And no matter how daunting it all seems, stay calm and remember it's just one day :)

Hi Katie.
Welcome to Uk bride & Congrats. There is a checklist that I will find and bump for you. Other then that my advice is sort a realistic budget out ASAP so you know how much to save a month and how much you will ultimately be able to save from now and your ideal Wedding year & month. Once you have done that start to collect brochures/prices for venues you like and narrow it down to see a few.
That's how I started anyway.

you may find it useful to unrestrict your profile so that member's can post useful links on your wall also by doing this you will be able to receive friend requests
Lala beat me to it; look on the bride checklist for tips. Also search for tips and topic before making a near topic as it is pointless to have loads of threads on one thing when one thread with a complete list will do just as good. Welcome to UKbride though and congrats on your engagement. Take a look at the rules thread too :)
