It's my birthday tomorrow and ever since I turned 23 I've had a mini-meltdown the night before. I think having Honey (found out I was pregnant 5 weeks before I turned 24) has made me realise I'm not a kid anymore. This may or may not make sense to any of you, I'm probs just wittering like a gibbering loony lol
So tonight I looked in the mirror - I swear my crows feet are deeper than they were before, I almost convinced myself I'd found a grey hair - at this point Ross told me to stop being so silly, that I was still beautiful and looked no older than 25 (a lot of people think I'm younger than I am which is nice)
Sometimes I miss the days when I had no responsibilities, I could spend my wage on lipsticks and handbags, the weekend only existed to party. Now I find myself up to my eyeballs in mucky washing, housework, on playgroup runs 3 days a week, dealing with Ross' business and planning nurseries and weddings. I wonder where Kerry went (if you see her please tell her to get he bum back here lol)
Please don't get me wrong - I love my life, I'd be nothing without Honey and Ross and Squigglet and I wouldn't change a thing. I swear that last time I looked I was only 18 and I had the world at my feet.
Sorry, I sound so flippin depressive don't I? I just wanted to get it out there to realise just how blummin daft I'm being!! xxx

I know exactly how you feel Kerry! the past 2 days Ive had proper snap attacks at the bairn and H2B ut think it's coz I don't feel appreciated alot of the time
I always do the cooking, cleaning, washing you name it!
It's your birthday though - enjoy it! celebrate another year being alive, healthy and happy
I still look in the mirror and see myself as 19 with my baby boy but he's hitting 7 this year and 26 on my next birthday lol you're as young as you feel - you looks great so feel great!

i know exaclty what you mean about the crows feet!! Where the hell did they come from??!! xx i remember spending all my pennys on fri, sat and sun nights out clothes and beer!!! i love life too but those care free days were very cool!! xxx being a grown up isn't all it's cracked up to be! xxxx have a lovely birthday hon xxx enjoy it xxxx

You have just sumed up the way I feel. I love my kids dearly, but I crave for my old life sometimes. But its not reality. The good thing about having kids young (had my first when I was 22) I will be able to enjoy my life when im older, go on nice holidays, and have nice things hopefully. Well thats if I dont have anymore, which Im not planning on doing!lol. Happy birthday for tomorrow. I bet you look lovely. I will probably be feeling the same though come may time when it will be my 25th!

lol Claire - those crows feet weren't there last week I'm sure :S and no, being grown up isn't what it's cracked up to be at all - I think we got duped hahaha
I'm sure once it gets here I'll be alright again.......... until next march that is - the dreaded 3-0 next year :D
