hello everyone, hope you are all enjoying the sunshine :)
I was just wondering, how much time has everyone left for photographs after the wedding ceremony.

this is my plan but not sure I have left enough photo time.
wedding service at church starts 1230.
its about 20-30 min drive to the reception.
drinks reception starts at 1415..and wedding breakfast starts at 1515.
I think the drinks reception is to keep people entertained while other people are still at the church having photos done.

does this sound ok..i feel about confused about it all

    Church service 12.30-13.15
    Photos 13.15-13.45
    Drive to reception 13.45-14.15
    Photos (during drinks reception) 14.15-15.15
    Wedding Breakfast 15.15

i think you have just enough time, if you don't get all your pics at the venue you can always get them after the breakfast before the evening reception

    Ours is:

    Ceremony: 1-1.30
Group photos (at reception venue which is a 2 minute walk away): 1.45-2pm
    Drinks reception: 2-3.30pm
    Wedding breakfast: 3.30pm-ish

We've allowed fairly generous amounts of time, with the idea being that if things over-run it won't be a big deal; the wedding breakfast needs to finish by 6pm, so provided it's under way by 4pm that won't be an issue. OH and I will be having our photos done during the drinks reception, and estimate that along with the other group shots (bridesmaids etc) they will take an hour max., which will still leave us with 30 minutes or so to have a drink and mingle.

We're having about an hour and a quarter for the photos during the drinks reception, however we don't have too many group shots and all our photo locations are quite close together, so hopefully will still get a bit of time to mingle with the guests.

I think you've left enough time, but have a chat with the photographer too - it might put your mind at rest xx
