I did my own wish tree, my own clay bird cake topper, doing my own cupcake stands, done my own ring cushion, a Mr&Mrs mosaic, and my next project is the bridesmaid's dresses. Me and my Mum are making them our little project together. I#m trying to save money and DIY as much as possible. x

How did you make your cake topper and ring cushion Lauren? I'd like to make my own but haven't a clue how. I was planning on doing my own invites but I managed to get 48 nice invite cards for £6 from the bay of e but will most likely diy my evening invites.
I've done my own favours in the form of aquatic wine glass charms - they are on my aquatic wedding planning thread if you want a looksee. :)

My ring cushion, i went to he local material and fabric shop and chose 2 different types of purple, bought stuffing, and created to birds that are kissing with the silver elasticated string in there mouth which holds the ring. I just cut the fabric to shape, 2 squares, and hand-sewed around, leaving a gap for the stuffing. Also added a heart in the middle, slightly stuffed that to give it a raised effect, and that's where the ring will sit. The birds, i found a guide online, and sewed them n the top. It's just a draft version, so will do a neater one closer to the time.
My clay topper, i bought air drying clay from CraftHobby, at £4 for a big block, and molded 2 birds, with fan tails. Used old netting as a veil for the bride, and the same purple material as the cushion, for the male waistcoat. Painted the black blazer on, and created a top hat from the clay too. I would add pictures but it keeps saying there's something wrong with my java :(
My invites, i made on Photoshop, (i'm a bit of a Photoshop fanatic) so will print out and place in cards.
I will take a nosey at your wine glass charms! I know there's a DIY thread somewhere, but i always loose track of it :/
Thanks Lauren; I'll bump the DIY thread for you if I can find it :)
