    HI,

wonder if you could help me...
I have small diamonds round my engagement ring and after trying some wedding bands on in a shop realised that a plain wedding band just doesn't look right. Has anybody got old diamonds set in a new band and know how it works or roughly the price?
My mum has her old eternity ring with small diamonds all the way round but it is gold and two small. I was hoping I could buy a plain palladium wedding band, have some of the diamonds taken out the old ring and put in the new one.
Is this something a jeweller can do, is it cost effective or am I better buying it from new. Trying to save money and a diamond wedding band is quite expensive .... pls help :)

I would phone a few jewellers and get a few quotes to see what a rough price would be. I'm sure it can be easily done but may be a bit pricey :)

definitely phone around and get some prices .. in my experience it'll probably be cheaper to have it all from new xx
(I had 7 diamonds taken out of an old ring of my mum's and made into a new ring ... cost about £250 for the ring, but also £75 per diamond as I wasn't having new ones .. and then VAT on top)

I have found a lovely diamond wedding ring which will fit around my solitaire from H Samuels for under £200 which I think is more than an acceptable amount of money to spend on a wedding ring, especially as my first ring was only £21 from Argos over 20 years ago lol x
