My hen do is tomorrow night, it's friends, family and work colleagues at my mums house for a garden party, my aunty has phoned today to say my cousin is finding it difficult to find a sitter for her son he is five, I was supposed to be phoning her back but don't want to be put on the spot... what should I do ??

i dunno... id not want kids there it would be my worst nightmare... is he the kind of kid to act up,or could you put him in bed with a dvd? i guess it would depend on how close i was to the cousin, and id be saying in no uncertain terms he cant be involved in any of the day. that might sound harsh, but i just wouldnt want a kid underfoot while having a party, are there no dads/uncles/male cousins of yours that could have him?

I only had kids at one of my hen do's at it was at home specially for them to be included in it. I had my adult one, so the one at ome was for them to be included as well
Velcro, his mum and dad have just split up not sure why his dad can't have him, I really don't want kids there and if I say yes to her my other cousin might take it upon herself to bring her children , :-(

Thanks Lmc I'm thinking that too,

It's an adult only event, and it's very cheeky of her to ask. I'd say no. if I knew someone who could watch the child I'd offer suggestions but nothing more than that.

Personally I'd explain that I don't think it's the place for a child. If there's somewhere he can sleep, where he will settle then I suppose that could make it easier. X

Nooooo! I'd explain that you're not comfortable with the idea of a child being there xxx

I'd say no too, my eldest daughter is 7 and even she can be a handful sometimes! A hen do is an adult only event in my eyes x
