    Hey ladies!

Me and H2B are hoping to get married on our 4 year anniversary which would be friday 20/02/15, the venue we love has hinted that there will be a 10% discount for hire on that day but not really said much else about it (we havent booked it yet but i will be doing shortly)

Any of you lovelies have any tips on how to barter the price down with it being off peak and a friday?
also any tips on how to get a sneaky discount with other wedding services for a friday wedding would be appreciated as i really am rubbish at negotiating

    Thanks in advance.
    Kelly xx

Just ask hun, ask what the best price is they can give, maybe look disappointed and say you can't quite afford that and hope they drop it a little more x

You just have to try your best, though with Friday weddings becoming more popular venues are beginning to cut their discounts as they probably know another couple will be along to take the date if you didnt.
Good luck, negotiating is mainly about having the balls to ask.

Always worth an ask in my opinion they can only say no! my venue was supposed to be £3000 but i told them my budget £1200 how many guests i had and what i wanted and they came up with the rest! i got ceremony room with the panoramic sea window , 3 course set wedding breakfast for 30 and 2 glasses of wine for each adult! was well happy , unfortunately due to mil2b over excitement the price has risen slightly as she added 10 extra guests lol so now its £1350 but still happy. It helps if you have a lovely wedding co-ordinator mine is an absolute star and has recently thrown in gym membership for me as i was going every day ;) Alot of things i am doing myself with regards to like flowers, invites, centrepieces etc so im saving a fortune there too.

One BIG day will lead to lots of little happy days !!

Just be straightfoward and ask. Thats what i did, i managed to get them to keep a 2011 quote active for me (they had recently won a wedding venue of the north and the pph went up by nearly £20pp!) but they said they wouldnt do anything else, so i persisted and got free things instead, such as cheap rooms for my family, free breakfasts, choices of menues etc. When talking to supplier i just say 'im getting married on a bank holiday sunday, what discount will you offer me?'

seems to work, ive gotten £200 off the chair covers and centerpiece hire, 10% on flowers and 15% off a photobooth, a 10% discount of my wedding dress, with discounts offered for Bm dresses. Oh and when i hired a magition for 1 hour i got 30 min free! Its all in the way you ask lol!

Always ask if they can do a slightly better deal and if they won't budge on price ask them to throw something in. X

Just ask, set a price point and then you can negotiate from there.
A lot of venues have started to offer Friday packages, so if they haven't perhaps that will give you more leeway for negotiating.
