Help! I thought I had found the perfect venue, with it came a few compromises but nothing too major. I made the mistake of looking at one last venue today and now I'm stuck as I really like both... I'm thinking of doing a pros and cons for each venue but as they offer different things its quite difficult. One is more of an all inclusive venue ie they have accomodation, in house catering etc.. The other is venue only with a choice of external caterers, no accomodation onsite.
I'm new to all this planning lark and am struggling to think of things to consider for my pros/cons list, can anyone help pleeeeeeease....

Have you met the wedding coordinators yet? We were really put off one venue because the coordinator was so stiff and up herself and made me feel like I didn't really deserve to be married there..
Also, do they hold wedding fairs or open evenings? If so, pop along to them to get a better idea of how a wedding there would 'work'.
The venue with no a accomodation - is there accommodation nearby? Is it easy to travel to?
How much will each venue cost and what will you get for that?
Are there restrictions on music/other suppliers/candles/confetti?
What food and drinks options are available?
Good areas for photographs?
Wheelchair accessible and plenty of toilets?
What time can guests arrive from? When do they have to leave?
Are you restricted in your choice of caterers?
Will they guarantee exclusivity?
Xx

Thanks LauraJo87. Your list has made me think of a few more... Location A with accomodation won't require transport as they have a room available to get ready. But location B has no corkage and we can supply wine etc so thats a huge saving.
I know what you mean about wedding coordinators!! Luckily the two I've met for these locations are lovely but I was put off of another venue by one who made me feel like she was doing me a favour by showing me round, needless to say they were removed from my very small shortlist!

When the coin is in the air, your gut will know which side you want it to land on and you will be secretly hopeing for it!! If it lands on the side and you feel a bit disappointed- you will know its the other one!! :-)

I think that you should take the one that make you feel good and pretty at first glance ;) There is nothing more important than a perfcet place where you will feel like you should feel that day. Be a princess of that day in the castle from your dreams. If both of them make you feel good choose the one that is closest to the hotel where your guests are staying or from the hotel. What do you think? This is why I like websites like eventool.pl that show all datas in one place. It is a database of hotels and centers that offer themselves not only for conferences but also for weddings. There are not only places but albo music bands and catering companies that may make your wedding better. It takes only couple of minutes to send an inquiry and gather a bunch of offers from the places that meet your requirements.

We had issues like this with our favourite venue which was no rooms for guests to stay over and external caterers like ur second venue... We decided it didn't matter because the caterers we chose do most the weddings there anyway so are almost 'in house' and there's a big hotel a 5 min drive away so works out great for guests... Look outside the box before finding cons with the second venue xx

Well the all inclusive venue is out and I'm back with my original choice :-) We have provisionally booked the 21st June next year, subject to seeing the marquee which we're viewing on the 28th. OMG I'm getting married..!!! :-D

try this - what the lady at the wedding dress place told me - If someone told you that you couldnt have one of them, would you feel gutted? if one makes you feel in a panic if it was booked by someone else - that's the one.
If not I'd also consider bar prices, menu choices, outside suppliers or will they make you have theirs ( our venue *could* supply all things at about 3x the cost I found myself)
Edit: sorry only just noticed your update reply x Ignore my advice ( every usually does anyway haha)
