Wedding Forum - We did it! Pics Finally for you all!...

Hi All,

Well we had an amazing day, everything went smoothly even managed an early morning swim before breakfast! Now we have our proper pics I thought I'd post a few for you all:

Morning
Well after waking up every 2 hours for various reasons - general insomnia, dry mouth, blocked nose I gave up at 6am and text my dad to backtrack on the comment "no chance will you see me in the pool at 7.30 in the morning" - well as he said he was up and still off for a swim so at half 7 my wedding day started with a dip in the pool! After breakfast we then started the mammoth task of making sure everyone was ready on time. I was surprisingly calm all the way through, until I turned into bridezilla at 1.45pm shouting at everyone to leave as they needed to go before me! I had made a massive deal about my shoes beforehand and they were a real topic of conversation on the day, I love the pics the photographer caught of them :) even though they did come off more than once throughout the day as they weren't as comfy as originally thought!



Ceremony went well, my dad was so nervous giving me away though (i'm the eldest and his first little girl) so all i remember from the first part is panicking he was going to pass out! The registrar seemed to talk forever before he had to give me away and take his seat, and knowing he felt ill earlier in the day (currently undergoing chemo treatment) and was shaking like a leaf when we got to the bottom of the aisle I couldn't tell you what she said I just know I was wishing she would hurry up and stop talking!


The venue staff were amazing from start to finish, even the day before making sure we had everything we needed - to the wedding night moving everything out of the reception to our room (they had another wedding the following day) so all we had to worry about was taking ourselves off to bed at 1am. Was weird waking up in a room full of daffodils though the following morning!

Our photos were kept very informal and are just what we wanted from the day, this then gave us more time to mingle and I did feel until the evening we had managed to spend time with all our guests. Was a great opportunity for us to catch up with friends we haven't seen for a while and have a fantastic day and night with them :)


Sad it's all over but have some great pics to look back on and our Honeymoon to look forward to - 9 weeks to go can't wait!
