Wedding Forum - Had my hen at the weekend - Perfection!...

Last Friday I made my way to Bristol for my hen weekend as organised by my bms. I was nervous to say the least because apart from the location and that I had to dress as Dolly Parton at some stage I knew nothing. Myself and 18 of my freinds and family were staying in a shared house near the centre of Bristol, when I arrived most of my guests were there and they had decorated the house with bunting, photos and Dolly Parton memorabelia, the house was gorgeous and there was lots of food and drink. My h2b had sent a bottle of my favourite champagne and a card which made me tearful. We started opening the Champagne (not the good stuff that's for the wedding night) and got into Mr & Mrs game where my darling husband to be stitched me up by answering the questions as if he was in opposite world. As a result of this I had to keep doing shots so ended up rather drunk and the rest of the night eg karaoke was a bit of a blur.

Saturday morning I woke up a bit tender had a good breakfast, vomited, had some more breakfast and felt better so I was given a feather boa, some candy nipple tassles and told I was going for a bike ride and that was my costume. Thankfully the bike ride part was a fib and we did a burlesque class. It was absolutely brilliant and the instructor found out about our theme so our routine was to Dolly Parton's Marry Me. We've got a brilliant vid of it and we all did well even if we were far from se xy.

We then had a window of time free to shop or do what we wanted so I went back to the house with some of the girls and we had a good old girly chat and some lunch before getting ready to go out. We all got our Dolly on and had some champers before the taxis arrived to take us to Jongleurs for a night of comedy and dancing. We had a brilliant night, I haven't laughed or danced so much in ages it was fab.

Sunday morning dispite lots of drink and shots and merriment there was no hangover - result! We had a big breakfast together had a bit of a tidy round then got ready to leave. I was then presented with a book that all the girls had put a message next to a polaroid of them in full Dolly kit. So lovely I had a few tears because they said such beautiful things about me and my h2b. I left the house feeling so overwhelmed that at every stage of the weekend they had thought about what I wanted and my personality. Although there were different friend groups and most of the girls hadn't met before they all got on so well and there was no awkwardness. They are all fb friends now and looking forward to getting together at the wedding. I'm just so happy and love my girls so much. Next big thing is the wedding day, I hope I've planned as well as my bms.
