We are getting married in Crete, we will get married around 15:00/15:30 we will then have photos and champagne reception... For our food we are having a Greek BBQ complete with dessert section....But as we are getting married quiet late in the day we probably wont be eating til late, I think the plans are that the food will be cooked as we are having photos... But we weren't planning on doing a separate buffet as we thought people would be still full, but I was just thinking of placing some sort of finger foods or something?!?
Any ideas, or would you actually go for the buffet? xx

I would say its not necessary as most guests will have eaten lunch before the ceromony. What time roughly are you planning on having the BBQ?
That said, we've been to weddings before where the meal has been at five and they've put a buffet out at about ten - to be honest, a lot of it was uneaten so I really don't think they needed a 'full' buffet, but maybe a few nibbles wouldn't go amiss. A few brides on here are doing bacon baps later on in the evening, maybe you could do something similar? Xx

I had actually thought about the bacon sandwich idea, not too sure on what time the bbq will start yet but I was thinking sun, drink and dancing may work up a little appetite after the bbq xx

I would say just go with the BBQ buffet but give ppl a rough idea in the invites what time the food will be at so they're not silly enough to not eat beforehand x

Greek buffets are huge! They do lots of meats, cheeses, breads, rices etc. so I doubt there will be any need for nibbles later on. I am getting married to a Greek Cypriot and there is always enough food left over from their BBQ's for at least three days worth of meals! Your guests will be stuffed! lol xxx
