I think for my reception it's going to be a lot of cheese, a good selection of 80's and and a little bit of 90's dance.
How about Blame it on the Boogie by the Jackson 5 and gotta feeling by the black eyed peas.
If you are still stuck and want some general ideas, you could try looking on sites that sell CD's and searching 'Wedding CD.' Often they let you click on the CD and will give you a track list. We did this for the playlist for my mum's reception and ended up with loads of ideas.
CommentAuthorHelenW
weve asked everyone to give a song choice on the rsvp so will build a playlist that way!
from me i love black eyed peas pump it x

Hi ya, my H2B is a massive music fan, with his parents being a little old fashion. he's got me into the 70's, 80's music, and some 90's. i find the majority of older songs seem to get people up. it just depends what age group your whole evening do consists of really and what you like to. ill be 26 when we get married and H2B will be 28 however most of our guests are in there 40's. dad nearly passed out with excitement when i said gonna play some meat loaf. should of seen his face light up! lol x oo and for some fun got some michael jackson thriller to! lol gonna be amusing however not loving the amarillo suggestion from H2B. just doesnt do much for me. x
CommentAuthorMrsH-2B
MrsP2b I got a feeling is our exit ceremony song :-)
All your suggestions are great and much appreciated !!
Zoe age will range from 2-80'something so big wide range :-) we'll definitely have a variety cause we grew up listening to our parents music who in turn grew up listening to their parents music so anything from 20's - now really :-) xxx

We have to put a set list together too. Our music is going to be very different and no cheese included!!! We love going to watch live bands in the town where we live and a lot of our guests are either from the bands or friends that we see at the gigs so our music choices will be bands like Stone Roses, Stereophonics, Happy Mondays, The Jam, Elbow, Rolling Stones, Small Faces!!! :-)
CommentAuthorsarah
Can't keep it to just two...
Usher - Yeah Amy Winehouse - Valerie Scissor Sisters - I don't feel like dancing Barry White - You're the First, the Last, My Everything Jackson 5 - Want you back Dexys Midnight Runners - Come on Eileen Blondie - Atomic

Georgi, I gotta feeling is a great exit song. I'm sure it will be great. 108 songs sounds like you already have enough, but I was thinking about my aunt's wedding and at the end of the night they played lots of madness and other 'men' songs and Chelsea Dagger by the fratellis went down well. The other ones that a lot of the grandparent's, aunts and uncles liked were some of the 60's songs such as Build me up buttercup by the foundations and shout by lulu.
You have some great suggestions. It sounds like your reception will be great :) I can't wait to write my own list. Eek I'm so excited already and it is so far away!
