I had a notification on my phone the other night to say 'thank you for listing your item on the bay' - My OH's bay account is linked to my phone as his is not smart at all... I had a look on there as I didn't think we had anything to sell and he is selling £2 donations to our honeymoon.

We have shared it on FB and Tweeter with our friends. One random person has donated too - really thought only friends would donate but I guess as it's such a sweet original idea that they thought 'it's worth £2' - think I probably would.

We had kinda given up hope of having a honeymoon at all, but we think we'll be able to have some camping time away just us at least. My mum and dad are saving all their change too - this will probably gives another 100-200. I would never have thought of it and would also think it would be far too cheeky! But the boy has done good :) xx

We are going glamping in York next week - we'll see what we think of it after this... We went glamping in Edinburgh but they were tiny pods and separate beds (not the way I want to start married life! haha) xx

We are up to £22 :)
I'm not sure how much we 'need' - we literally have no money for a honeymoon... I had some money saved up but then our insurance nearly tripled, then my car set on fire for no reason and due to the nature of the fire it couldn't be done through insurance, and my OH hasn't had much work on so the savings have been paying bills.

Just to update you...We have raised £24 so far...
It all helps though as if we just go camping in England, this will help pay for the fuel, and if we raise more we can go glamping/travel lodge/inn style...

Hi, My partner and I have been together for nearly 7 years and have set a date for our wedding (6th July 2013), it is our intention to start a family and move to the peak district once we are married. We have managed to save enough money for a small wedding with 20 guests. Its a traditional wedding in a small village church in Lincolnshire. Today I casually log into the bay to see what other bargains I could get to find that I have an email from another member regarding an advert I forgot I had put up on the bay. The advert I'm referring to is one for donations to our honeymoon as we have never really had a holiday having got two small children and are unable to afford the honeymoon and get married all together so I put a cheeky advert up asking for donations, I had one Donation of £2 when the advert was first placed, I renewed the advert and promptly forgot about it. The email I received states that the buyer came across my advert and their heart hurt, they stated they wanted to help & could they donate more than £2 (the current set price of donations) they asked how much we have raised for our honeymoon so far and I was truthful and stated that they were only the second donator so we had raised £4 total so far. A few emails later and the totally lovely but random person has stated that they are willing to match what ever donations I get on the idea that the most I give in return is a "thank yoou" card! There truely are some amazing people in this world and you know who you are! Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity! You have made me smile!
