Because I have 4 adult bridesmaids and 3 flower girls and my venue is 40mins from my house we needed two cars at a cost of £800 to get us to the venue however I've now made an executive decision....
I am now going to book a room the night before at the hotel we're gonna be staying at on the night of the wedding for me, my 3 girls and one of the bridesmaids... This costs £90 and then gonna order one car to do two trips which costs £350 as our venue is a 10 min drive from the hotel (in old cars will take about 20mins) .. Total cost £440... So a saving of £360 plus I won't have to worry about my house being immaculate for pre wedding photos....
It'll be nice to have morning breakfast room service too....

That's what I thought, it'll be nice and relaxing and not in my home environment, we can order the cars from the town of our venue too which may also save us a bit more as the distance travelled will be about 20miles less :-)

Good call Kel, excellent saving and probably less stressful on the morning of your wedding.
I have the same situation, Church and then reception venue are approx. 50 mins drive from the town me and my parents live. We're paying £700 for two cars to get me, dad, my mum and 2 BM's to the Church and then to do the run between the Church and reception venue after the wedding ceremony. I would've done what you did if I didn't really want to get ready and leave from my parents house. xx

Im staying in a hotel as well and not even bothering with a car at all, staying at the hilton for 3 nighs still works out cheaper than cars!
the only thing im not sure about is the 100 yeard between hotel and venue. il have to walk lol.... oh dear xD
