I have had my hair and makeup trial today and i was so unhappy with the results. My make up made me look a lot older and there was so much powder on my face you could see every line on my face. My hair looked like (Cora off eastenders) the back comb was horrendous.
I get my married in just under 4 months and the chances of finding someone else to do my hair and makeup will be slim.
Does anyone know any good hair and makeup artists in the south Yorkshire area?

Hi hun, don't be upset. This is why its good to have a trial - I am getting married in Thailand and my hair and make up are being done at the resort by people I don't know - with no trial. I have had my hairdresser do my hair today so I could photograph it and take it with me.
Did you tell the people you wrer unhappy? Can you not stick with them? Just be honest. If not, I hope you find replacements soon.

I can so relate, I've had some insane things done to my hair in my lifetime. There's been more then once I've gone home and wash my hair after an unfortunate blowout. What's your budget like? There's an amazing place in Sheffield where I get my hair done for events but they're pricey.

I know how you feel I had my makeup trial 2day and it was awful her makeup was crap and she used powder and me look old and I'm only 26 lol I'm going to the girls at Estée Lauder they come out to you and there makeup is amazing!

This was one of the reasons I never wanted someone doing my makeup as I did not want to look silly, I wanted to look like me. You should find someone soon though, you still have plenty of time.m

Just be honest, I wasn't happy at my trial at all. I told the girl and I'm having another trial today. It's cutting it a bit fine, but if I don't like it today I'm going to ask her to use my make up. Just hope she does my hair better or I will cry as don't know how I will do that if not x x

Oh no, hopefully you can find someone else to do it and get it right.
I'll be dreading mine I never wear make up so it's going to be strange for me to see myself caked in makeup, my hairdresser did say she can make it as natural as I want, and she knows I never wear the stuff so she's prepared for my reactions.

Hopefully you will find someone, have u thought of having a trial at a makeup counter then buying some special products to do it yourself, u can still feel luxurious on your wedding day with products that you've never used before plus the makeup artist can give u a makeover there and then to show u what products work for you....
As for hair, keep looking at different styles, there's lots of hairdressers out there, try not to worry to much yet xx
