Everyone on here has been so lovely whenever I've had a bad point, so I thought I'd share a good point :-) My OH's dad has always seemed a little less than enthusiastic about the wedding, I think he was afraid that his son was making the same mistake he did marrying too young and I always believed that he didn't really like me (though my OH says its definitely not true, but I worried). As my OH and his dad are so similar (yet really different too lol!) I was worried about him not being happy about the wedding, that it'd put him off and/or make him change his mind. So he (the dad) has been dealing with some stuff with his OH for that last year or so, and I think its made him realise how much me and my OH do support and look after each other, plus its a year where we have been around far more (as we've moved closer to home) and so he's really come round. This weekend we went and saw my OH's grandparents (his dad's mum and partner) and he(the dad) was soo enthusiastic, really looking forward to the day, and saying he really wants to give a speech and how proud he is of his son and how its going to be a really good day. Its just made me soo soo happy to have him on side, and happy and enthusiastic, and even though my OH says he knew his dad was happy I know its really made him happy to have his dad be soo open and enthusiastic about the situation. I'm just soo happy to be getting such great support from his family, and feel like they don't disapprove or not want me marrying him! Just fantastic!
