and me, my first was crap though, i don't even count it. we had a registrar office meal in a function suite of a pub, the onto another pub for the night. i'm not knocking that if thats what anyone else is doing. it was just the man i married that was crap. so i just class this as my first farytale wedding... xx

2nd time for me. I was only 18 first time round so just did what was expected of me.. This time im loving the planning and doing what i like.
this is my first time but its glenns second,thats why we went for the registry office as hes already dont the whole top hat and tails thing in church before

This will be my second time but H2B's first and I'm lucky to be able to have another church wedding albiet on a smaller scale,I'm also enjoying the planning this time round as last time I felt alot of the planning was taken out of my hands and I was pressured into having things I didnt want...this time we are paying so we are having everything our way xx

On the day of my first wedding i knew i shouldnt be going through with it but was so scared of my then partner and didnt want to let anyone down as so many paople turned up that i went through with it. I can even rememebr sitting in the car on the way to the registry office and a car came up beside us at the lights and i remeber the guy sitting in the car shaking his head i knew i was amking the biggest mistake of my life. xx
This will be the second time for both of us. I married my ex husband about four years ago on a beach in Antigua, we had been together for over 5 years and decided at the last minute to get married - wedding cost us 600 pounds altogether. So glad we done it this way as two months later I found out he was committing adultery. He was leading a double life - told me he had to move out as his depression had got worse (he was actually living with this women), and told the women he couldn't stay there every night as his mum had a brain tumour and he had to help his family out (sick B******). My husband to be got married when he was 20. he had known his ex for about 2 weeks and they got married in a space of 6 weeks as he was in the army, the relationship broke down a year later as they didn't get a chance to know each other and weren't compatible. We are both treating this time round as if this is our first married and are having the full works.

This is second time for both of us but we both feel that the first time didn't count hehe. It was just a dress rehearsal for the real thing. I was preggers the first time and thought it was the right thing to do to get married. This time I'm doing it for love and not because its the right thing. Neither of us had a big do last time so this time want to do it better although we are on a limited budget as my fiancé has recently been made redundant.

2nd time for me, 1st for oh. Was 21 1st time and got married in Dublin(where I'm from) so my mum sorted everything out. This time round me and oh are sorting it, and I'm loving it!! Definitely our day, if you know what I mean :)

My second and future hubbys second too, both had crap 1st weddings he went off with no one from his family and I did quiet wedding they way my future husband wanted without my lot there so this is both our first weddings of what we want and we are loving doing it all! I have to say of my first marriage I was exact same as you Shelby, the guy driving me even said are you really sure you want to go in! But you dont want to let anyone down! Lets all enjoy our 2nd or whatever time around its gotta be better than the first eh! :)

Is anyone else facing the 2nd time around dilema? h2b wants to have a wedding somewhere "different" as he has the big do first time ...while i had a village hall no evening reception do ..... Also i now have 4 childeren that i very much wnat to invlove .......i thought 2nd time would be so much easier .....the headache proves otherwise
Hi just found this post. It's my second wedding, i got married at 18, and although it was a great day, because of the distance from where i was to where the wedding was (wiltshire and norfolk)there are a load of things i wish i'd done differently or spend more on. For instance my dress never fit properly because only had one fitting, i rented everything and wish i had brought the vail to pass on to my two daughters when they get married and a friend did the photo's (not a professional friend either) so always thought the photo's were lacking...something. This time around i would love a church wedding as its my h2b's first but not sure if i can because i did the 1st time. So were looking for somewhere special instead have looked at orton hall in peterborough (look it up, its gorjus) which has that special quality were after and they do a sit down meal (had buffet 1st time) and evening reception all in the same building. Plus the honeymoon suite and breakfast is included in the price, so fingers crossed its available. This time around i'm planning everything down to the t..........hopefully lol

This time I want a beautiful civil ceremony somewhere beautiful to my beautiful man.
I want a really stylish dress. I did love my dress first time and felt a million dollars, but styles and times change.

You can get married in a church 2nd time round...I was worried about this but when I phoned the vicar she said they have relaxed the laws, I'm having my 2nd wedding in the church I wanted 1st time round but was bullied out of like alot of things,now got the chance to do it all again just the way we want :-) x

Lalabunni,that sounds lovely,but I think youll find you have to get married on solid ground.The registrar told me this when I rang about getting married on a luxury yacht in a marina :( we are going aboard one for pics after instead.

kaz have just found that the only place you can get married out at sea ie not in port is .........bahamas ohhhh dear looks like h2b bit be having to put his hand in his pocket for that one ..... have now suggested that we could go for beach wedding instead ........watch this space
2nd time for me. First time wasn't a real marriage!! It was all legal it just wasn't a proper marriage!! I had the big white wedding, church, vintage car, bridesmaids etc..... it was all about how it looked really looking back on it! So this time it's all for the right reasons. Older and wiser! Having a small family and very close friends only fancy dress wedding away from home then the following week having a big party back where I live for all mates ect to help us celebrate. One of the things I remember from the first wedding is at the reception and looking at the photos after thinking "who are most of these people?" so this time its only people that both of us know. No strangers. Am really enjoying every minute of organising our wedding this time, every decision is a joint one so there won't be any "oh I wish we'd done this and I wish we'd had that and I really wanted blah blah blah!!!!

looking like the wedding on the cruise liner is off it is proving very expensive ......h2b new idea get married in vegas ! ...he says " we can use one of our timeshare apartments and i get get the flights free with my air miles" what a charmer huh lol lol
First one, shouldn't have happened, my mum hadn't long passed away, i was pregnant, and just went through with it, knew i shouldn't have but hey !!
This one I can't wait for, going to have a dress, flowers, bridesmaid, cake etc etc, all our family and friends. xThis one is for keeps x we've got over 400 days to go and i just want to get on with it lol

2nd time for me 1st for my h2b, we are having the full works n a price to match :o i did a mini version of the full works 1st time round n knew i should nt of gone through with it when i nearly passed out with realisation of what i was doing -my dad held me up bless him. my h2bs choices are whats leading this wedding as ive done the wedding thing and its an important thing for him, hes involved with all the decisions- its a joint planning thing which i'm loving xx

Its my 2nd time, oh 1st. We are having a civil ceremony at our venue of choice. Its only family and close friends and I cant wait!! He is lovely and SO different to my horrid ex!!

2nd time round round for me, first for h2b. My first was the pits, both wedding and marriage! I was 16 and got married in a pub, my mum had to check the law to find out if I could legally dink at my own wedding :-( I knew it was the wrong decision from the moment I put on the dress but like most people here there was too many people I thought I'd let down if I pulled out.
This time I know it's the right thing, we are also having a longish engagement to be sure. Last time engagment was 4 months!

My second and h2b's first. Ex-husband was a learning experience - We got married 6 months to the day that we met, far too soon in this case (I don't think it's true for everyone - my parents met and married within a week and just celebrated 45 years together). He turned out to be a bully, liar and a cheat.
This time around, we've been together a lot longer, been thru having a child together, moving a few times, changing jobs and all that kind of stuff and still look at each other and go all mushy... feels perfect :)

I cant believe the amount of us who are getting married for a 2nd time but H2Bs first.. WOW!!
Im the same 2nd time for me but hated the first wedding, did not enjoy the day and only married as I didn't want a different name to my children! My dress was made for me by a so called friend but it was hideous, the bridesmaids dresses fell apart as did the men's waistcoats! It was horrible! Done on a very cheap budget!
So this time although it is my 2nd, it's my way or the highway lol...

I really understand what some people on here are saying... 2nd time for me and 1st for H2B. I don't really like thinking of my 1st one, to me it was a registry office ceremony then a party that i didnt have a say in with the then husband inviting everyone back in a years time to celebrate the divorce... little did he know how right he was!!!!! I also decided to get married because of children! Have come to the conclusion that most of the time, if thats the "only" reason, it doesnt work! So called family friend said she would do my hair ended up burning it so much had to get it cut really short afterwards, dress was a cheapo one from the market and I didnt even know where the reception was going to be because the then MIL decided to "take care of everything" but "forgot" to fill me in. This time round as you see I'M planning 2 years early and its going to be my fairytale wedding with my prince Charming lol.xx

This is the first time for me. Although the second time I have been engaged! Was with my first partner since I was 16 and was with him for 10 years........ It just didn't work out..... My hubby to be is the best though the perfect man for me. Been with him for 3 years in November...... Although we liked each other long before for about 5 years haha x

My first-but Paul's 2nd. I was NEVER getting married, NEVER going to live with anyone ever again, NEVER even having another serious relationship, I was going to be a blokey-use and abuse, not get involved etc etc! Second "date"-unofficially engaged! lmfao! Now-getting married, moving 200+ miles and giving up my entire "life" just to be with him 24/7! :)

Auntiewoo that is sooo nice. Kinda felt like you did about 7 years ago, moved to Portugal and everything, said I was not going to come back because it was so nice there, also said no serious relationships, kids etc.. came back to London last year with baby and fiancee... go figure.. lmfao.
