Ok, so my sister text me lastnight after meeting up with my best mate after work to look at Hen party venues in London, I was still in the office and I get a text at 7:45pm saying:
"trace, angela and I have decided that we are in charge of your hen and u can stay out of it! u won't be hearing anything about it now...we have it all in hand"
I said I was scared .............didn't help I was stressed out as still was at work (I didn't leave until 8:25pm). She said there's nothing to be scared about but they "want to organise something" followed by "u are busy so we can take care of this"
Oh goodness.
Then a mate of mine text me today and in relation to my hen said:
"Ha ha, I know something you don't know! :D It's gonna be fun!"
She told me not to worry but I can't help worrying and getting scared at what they may be planning!
To put this into context ....................I'm tee total! Not really into the whole stripper thing and my idea of a nice day and evening is a spa followed by a civilised dinner, some dancing is fun too. Ok so I sound boring I know.

Yep, I'd be scared too! I refused to have a hen night first time around because Wife's cousin wanted to plan it all and im abit of a planning freak.. (Incase that was obvious with 6 years to go ahhaa)
Keep dropping hints that you want it civilised, & if they get you a stripper you will throw a paddy.. :D Then all you can do is hope they listen xx

Lol, I know that they know me too well, they know me inside out so hope that they will be sensible but they mentioned "games" the last time the 3 of us skyped.
I'm seeing bestie in the morning as we're getting our hair done and sister tomorrow evening so I may need to start trying to dig for info ..................but knowing them very well neither will give anything away! The scheming lil BLEEP!!!
I did tell them to please not spend too much as I'd feel so guilty if they spend too much on this, I mean, it's just a night out and day at the spa (I think!). Oh who knows now.

Would it help if you give them some guidelines, as in things you definitely don't want? I'm the same as you, so I'm not sure I'll have a traditional one by any means!

I have two matrons of honour who I've put in charge of my hen do. I may regret it, but at the same time I know that they aren't into strippers and raunchy boozy nights, so although I may have to make a fool of myself, I'm confident that there won't be anything that makes me uncomfortable. I'm planning nearer the time to give them a list of absolute knows, like a stripper, drinking games or clubbing.

I don't know what's happening either. Mine is in two weeks time. My mum and bridesmaids have organised a night out, I think it's meal and drinks but there must be other little bits because they're really scheeming! I've just let it go over my head and ill enjoy it and embrace it. If they know you well enough then you have nothing to worry about xx

If you're worried,perhaps u should mention what you'd really not be into or be unhappy with doing, then hopefully they'll take ur wishes and do something you'll definitely love...then just leave them to it.. At least then you've voiced your opinion x

My cousin is manning my hen do. I know nothing. BT she has said I will like it and my mum and OH have said it is very me and not to worry. I just asked for fun tops and drinks as a must. I said no half naked or named men, penis' or permits related etc.

So I've resigned myself to the fact the hen is totally out of my control but I'm now worried about my sister and best mate spending too much on bits and bobs for it. I really appreciate they're trying to make the weekend really special but I feel bad if they're spending money on stuff! I didn't want it to really cost much for anyone coming along to it and certainly didn't want them spending unnecessarily. They tell me not to worry but I feel bad xxx

From the May thread, I know how you feel about not having a clue. We'll have to catch up on the 21st!
I told mine, not getting very drunk, no strippers and out of control activities. I wanted to go rock climbing or a high-wire assault course type thing, along with by a spa or afternoon tea. Most of my girl friends are far too 'delicate' to do anything physical, so I know that's out. I've been assured that the hen do is 'very me'. I don't know what to wear, what time it starts, where we're going or anything. The only thing I had a say in is the guest list - which is more than you according to your other thread.

Hmmmm, at least I have my Friday night outfit sorted, chose it myself and then Saturday I'll be in a bikini in a spa. I know the location of the two events and well, I did have control over my guest list.

Stop stressing honey! I am in thr same situation, i gave my bridesmaids a list of do's and dont's including a guest list and they have organised everything. I know nothing other than the city we are visiting, but all my friends keep saying it will amazing so not to worry. It is nice they are doing it for you so one less thing for you to stress/organise yourself xxx
